About Wendy White
My husband and I purchased the property in 1995 and built the Lodge from the ground up. He's a contractor and I'm a lawyer. We both love the outdoors. I've been a rock climber since 1975, before it was a popular sport and before there were very many women involved. When we built the Lodge we offered guided outdoor adventures including climbing, dog sledding, biking and more. After a while we decided it was too difficult to do it all so started operating solely as a bed and breakfast.
Wendy White purchased this Bed And Breakfast in 1997
Why Wendy White chose Flagstaff
This was the perfect area to start an outdoor focused bed and breakfast. It's close enough to Flagstaff for easy access to restaurants and the amenities of a city, but far enough away to avoid the crowds and the noise of an urban environment. The village of Mountainaire is a sleepy little spot with eclectic homes and lots of characters.

Cute, homey, and rustic. Makes you feel like you are staying in a home, not a hotel.
Melita and Wendy were super friendly and accomodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. If you are a light sleeper maybe bring earplugs, walls are a bit thin, but honestly it wasn't that bad. I would highly recommend and and would stay again.
Quiet, comfortable place to stay. Beautiful area!
The lodge was clean. The staff was friendly and attentive to any of our needs. They offered breakfast every morning.
The WIFI was good, and we had access to all the lodge offers.
Thank you so much Vernon for your kind words. We try to make everyone's stay relaxing and comfortable. Please come back and visit us any time. Your party was a pleasure to serve. Melita
Quiet and clean
Nice, clean location for easy access to Flagstaff or Sedona
My brother and I were passing through to go to Sedona, and this place was perfect to stop at for the night. Great price, good location, and really easy check-in. Would love to stop here again when passing through.
Little Weekend Getaway
Perfect for a weekend getaway nested up to the forest. Melinta ( not correct spelling of name ) she is the host of the lodge. She made excellent hiking suggestions for my boyfriend and I. And the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for our stay we will come back again!
Thank you for the kind words. We strive to make every guest feel welcomed and valued. We would love for you to return!
