With three bedrooms—one with a king-size bed and two with queens—Overlook Nook is an ideal condo for a vacation with friends, other couples, or the family. Because it’s located in the Summit of Gatlinburg condo complex (it’s unit 5304, to be precise) when you stay here you have free access to the complex’s outdoor swimming pool throughout the summer and its indoor pool and two whirlpools year-round. There’s a playground as well, should the kids have any energy left to burn off after a day of hiking, amusement rides, horseback riding, or skiing.
Unit 5304, which has a two-night minimum stay, is located on the third floor of a non-elevator building. From its private balcony, you’ll have a spectacular view of the Smoky Mountains rising toward the clouds from the lush woodlands. Bring your morning coffee outside to watch the sunrise and listen to chickadees; return before bedtime for a nightcap in the moonlight.
The living area of Overlook Nook has a fireplace you’ll love gathering around after a day of skiing or snowshoeing. Whether you’re stretched out on the well-cushioned roll-arm sofa, curled up in one of the armchairs, or eating at the cozy dining table, you’ll feel right at home.
Overlook Nook’s convenient location means you’re just minutes from scores of restaurants offering everything from steak to seafood, Italian to Cuban, barbecue to fondue. But sometimes it’s more relaxing (and budget-friendly) to eat in. The condo’s kitchen is packed with appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware so that you can whip up a meal in no time. And because nobody wants to scrub dishes while on vacation, there’s a dishwasher too. Even if you do eat most of your meals out, you can’t beat the convenience of having a refrigerator to store juice boxes for the kids and wine for the adults.
All three bedrooms are decorated in restful palettes to encourage sweet dreams. The master bedroom, with the king-size bed, is on the main floor, as is the second bedroom, which has a queen-size bed and a charming table for two by the window. The loft bedroom also has a queen-size bed. Each bedroom has its own TV with cable as well as ample storage. Other amenities include two bathrooms and free WiFi.
As serene and lovely as Overlook Nook is, you don’t visit the Smoky Mountains to spend your time in a condo. The Summit at Gatlinburg’s prime location makes it easy to take full advantage of everything the area has to offer. For instance, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area are only a few miles away, as is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you can hike, bike, fish, and ride horses. In fifteen minutes you can drive to downtown Gatlinburg, where you’ll find the Guinness World Records Adventure, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, thrill rides, mini golf, arcades, and more. If shopping is your idea of exercise, you’ll love the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an eight-mile trail of more than 120 galleries, studios, and craft shops featuring everything from stained glass to chainsaw art. Also just a short drive away, in neighboring Pigeon Forge, Tanger Outlet Mall offers bargains galore in more than 175 stores. In addition, Pigeon Forge is home to Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, dinner theaters, and more.
At Overlook Nook, the living is easy—and having a wonderful vacation is even easier. So book your stay today, and get ready to enjoy. We’re looking forward to seeing you.
Please remember that Gatlinburg and the surrounding area is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. Inclement weather can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. We strongly recommend four-wheel drive and/or chains during the winter months.
