Heaven in the Mountains
This little cabin was simply enchanting. It is perfect for a couple looking to get away. Everything was clean and tidy and super cozy! The views from the windows and wrap-around porch were breathtaking. Wifi was super fast! Bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here! I can't wait to come back when there is snow.
It is an absolutely gorgeous property in a beautiful part of the world
My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the cabin. It was everything we wanted and more. The property owner, Randy, is an awesome guy and was a pleasure to talk to. He gave us the lay of the land and suggestions on what we had to go see. A+++ experience.
Cozy little cabin with a view
We enjoyed staying here over the weekend. It snowed the second morning. Sitting by the fireplace watching the snow & drinking coffee was so peaceful. The bed was very comfortable (and I’m pretty picky), the cabin had everything we needed including cooking utensils, salt & pepper, coffee pot with filters, a gas grill, and plenty of wood, fire starters, & a lighter. There are several space heaters (which I appreciate in the bathroom) & the fire keeps the place very warm. We were very happy with our stay & would recommend it.
Note: I don’t recommend finding the place for the first time after dark. Because of the 20-35 mph speed limit & winding roads it’s about 15 minutes off the highway. It can be a little nerve racking in the dark with a few of the sharp turns. Just go slow & have a 4x4 if it’s supposed to snow. They sanded & scraped the roads well & we didn’t have any issues. Depending on traffic it took us about 40 minutes to get to Loveland Ski Area. The fireplace, view, & seclusion was worth the extra 20 minute drive than staying in Georgetown.
So cozy and absolutely perfect for a much needed get-away. Close enough to town to enjoy the relaxing Hot Mineral Springs, grab a Colorado-style pizza or shop downtown Idaho Springs...but far enough away to have complete relaxation, silence and enjoy the beautiful mountains. This cabin has such amazing views from within. My favorite part of every day was starting it out by having coffee on the couch, staring at the snow-capped peaks in the distance. Cabin had everything we needed! We have already recommended this place to others and can't wait to come back in the summer and enjoy it from a different perspective. The property manager was quick to call/text if we had any questions. Can't wait to come back...
Thanks Melissa! You described the cabin as it is in my eyes, how wonderful to share it with others. Summer is a new ballgame for sure. Hiking and exploring is spectacular, in the Arapaho National Forest.
Cozy, beautiful scenery, and VERY relaxing
When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the cabin. The cabin was very warm and inviting- It has everything you would need while being away from home! It was conviently located above Idaho Springs in Alice, Colorado. You can take an hour drive in any direction and end up in a lot of really beautiful places in the Rockies as well as larger cities like Boulder and Denver. I would recommend this cabin!
Great Cabin in the Mountains
We stayed in this cabin for five days at the end of August. We were in Colorado to explore the area. This cabin made it a wonderful experience. We were right in the mountains yet convenient to everything the area has to offer. The cabin was great. It was well stocked with everything you needed. Very comfortable and relaxing. The owner was quick to respond and helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area. We would stay there again, it's like having your own place in the mountains.
Robert! Thank you for the great review and truth. Alice Colorado is a special place, and the cabin is set in the perfect spot to enjoy it all, as you say. I trust you are home safe and happy. Thank you again for staying!
