About Sonny Campfield
I was 13 years old when my father brought me fishing to this Little Green Lake. We both fell in love with the area and then he bought this house. Wonderful memory of summer and winter holiday that we spent in this home. Now I come to this house with my family for our getaway from our routine life and enjoy the tranquility of the lake.
Sonny Campfield purchased this Cottage in 1980
Why Sonny Campfield chose Markesan
This house looks out unto my father's favorite fishing spot.
What makes this Cottage unique

Just in town for EAA Airventure...
Loved staying here! It was quiet and nice!
Great family time.
We really enjoyed our stay in this home on Little Green Lake. The fishing was very tough as we were in a stationary rainy front.
We enjoyed the spacious house for our girls weekend...there were 6 of us. The weather was extremely hot, the house had AC, but didn’t seem to cool the upstairs off so well. We totally enjoyed the lake, with some fishing, floating and the paddle boat came in handy! The time went by too fast!
Clean and comfortable lake house
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy lake home. All the amenities you could ever need, including books and games. The kitchen was fully stocked, the home was clean, and the
view amazing. We caught lots of fish right off the pier and had many evening fires in the pit on top of the boathouse. Owner Sonny was very helpful with questions we had before
Nerve racking and not good.
The carbon monoxide detector was beeping when we entered. Tried to fix it with new batteries but continued to beep. Called the fire department to verify the house was safe. It was, but we decided to leave that night and not stay because there were no other carbon monoxide detectors in the house. We will be thinking twice about booking a property during cold winter months because of this experience. It would be great if VRBO could add smoke/carbon monoxide detectors present and up to code on property amenities checklists.
Property owner was apologetic and gave us a full refund.
I felt horrible about this. This families stay was ruined because I forgot to change a battery. I replaced the monitor with a new one and offered them a free stay at my place if they would like.Hate to see a 1 star rating from their 4 hour experience. Please take me up on my offer so you can enjoy the beauty of Little Green Lake!
