Lovely Home, but no sleeping In
We loved the house and it's location... unfortunately though there are like 3 other other homes in the general vicinity that are all under construction. So at 7am on the dot every day you hear backup alarms & power tools. Being on vacation, sleeping in is something I look forward to but we were all unable to do so. Otherwise it was not that bad, the house was nice and we were super close to the beach. Also there is parking, so that helps especially in these types of areas.
Interestingly there is notice outside this residence stating it is to be torn down and rebuilt. This was a last minute booking for us since our previously scheduled place did not work out. For our needs it worked. Kitchen is adequately stocked with dishes/appliances. The stove works but is unstable on its legs and the control panel needs replacing. Nice to have washer/dryer, there are ceiling fans. There is no shampoo/soap for shower which would be nice to have supplied. It is a small item/detail but appreciated when it is there. The location is at the far end of the beach so fewer people but a far walk to activity, restaurants, etc. The place does not offer any games/books/beach toys/bikes as many other places do. There are two beach chairs. There is a back patio and grill, very small and in no way private. It is a busy street corner with surfer traffic constantly arriving, parking, leaving, and there were neighbors partying one night until all hours but we were not bothered by that. As stated earlier, it fit our needs.
Clean and cozy cottage right on the beach! We had a wonderful time with family.

we love your cottage near the SEA , love to see and feel the beautiful fireplace working.very warm with heater in the living room,but could use some heat in those darling two bedrooms.
Perfect location for a beach experience
This property was close to the beach however the house itself wasn't that great.
It says it can sleep 6 but in actuality it can only sleep 4 comfortably. They give you mats to put on the floor to sleep on..which is not sleeping comfortably in my opinion. Why not say it sleeps 12 and provide 8 mats!? It does not have an air conditioner which makes it extremely hot and miserable inside this home. We went there In October..not even in the summer months..and it was still miserably hot! The house is located right on the street and so it is really scary to leave all your windows open to air the house out. There is one couch in this house and it is not comfortable and is filthy! I didn't even want to sit on it. The beds were hard as a rock.The only positive was it was really close to a beautiful beach.

Re: The extra sleeping accommodations. I have copied and pasted below an excerpt from the listing description on VRBO verbatum. It is our recommendation that all potential guests read the listing description before booking a property.
"EXTRA SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS: provided via 2 twin trifold floor mats, along w/ extra linens/pillows. (floor mats are better suited for children) Twin roll-away beds can be rented if adult sleeping accommodations are desired. Please make arrangements in advance, to ensure delivery in time for your arrival."
Re: Maximum Occupancy: It is our opinion that for the size of the home, 6 overnight guests is reasonable. 12 overnight guests, with 8 floor mats would be more like camping. We are also limited in how many overnight guests are allowed in each unit we manage based on the conditions of the City's Short Term Lodging Permit.
Re: HVAC: For any properties under our management that are not equipped with A/C, we require a minimum of 1 tower fan per room, including living rooms, and screens on all windows. Most units will also come with ceiling fans. If A/C is a must, there are filters you can implement in your search for the right vacation rental that will exclude all units that do not have A/C.
Furnishings: We appreciate the feedback on the furnishings. One of our Vacation Rental Managers will be inspecting the comfort of the beds, and the condition of the couch.
