Anglers, outdoor enthusiasts, and fun-loving families will find a welcoming home at this Sunriver cabin (please note, this home is not within the resort community). This three-bedroom retreat has a private hot tub and firepit, a vaulted front porch lined with rocking chairs, and an outstanding location close to the Deschutes River, the Village at Sunriver, Mt. Bachelor, and so much more.
This single-story home sits among the evergreens on half an acre of land, just 800 yards from the Deschutes River and a few blocks from hiking and mountain biking trails. A paved road leads all the way to the cabin, offering easy year-round access to the Village at Sunriver less than three miles north, the slopes of Mt. Bachelor 19 miles northwest, and the heart of downtown Bend 19 miles northeast.
Built in 1994, this open, comfortable home has been redecorated throughout, creating the atmosphere of a modern hunting cabin. Bring in a few logs from the stock on the front porch, warm your toes by the wood-burning stove, and unwind from a day of fishing and kayaking on the sofas and reclining armchair.
Come golden hour, head outside to the classic front porch to sip a cold microbrew in one of the rocking chairs. Swap stories of the day's adventures with your loved ones, watch deer passing through the trees, shuffle a deck of cards at the patio table, and get the gas grill going for an evening barbecue with friends.
Help prepare dinner in the open kitchen, where you'll find full-size appliances, plentiful cabinetry for your groceries, and even a slow cooker and a dishwasher to make mealtime all the easier. Assemble a side dish or two at the bar counter, set the dining table for six, and pull the steaks from the grill just in time for dinner.
Linger around the table with freshly ground coffee and dessert, but leave a bit of room for s'mores roasted in the firepit. When you've had your fill of marshmallows and ghost stories, take a soothing soak in the beautifully maintained backyard hot tub, or head indoors for family movie night on the flatscreen cable TV.
After a thrilling day of kayaking, fishing, or skiing, as many as eight guests will sleep soundly in this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. Two of the bedrooms offer a king-size bed apiece; the third bedroom is equipped with a twin bed and double-size bed ideal for children. Of the two full bathrooms, one has a tub/shower combination and the other has a stall shower.
Additional amenities include free WiFi throughout the home and a private washer/dryer for your ski pants, bathing suits, fishing clothes, or anything else that might need refreshing during your stay. SHARC passes can be purchased separately through the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center.
Thanks to its wonderful location for both winter and summer activities, this Sunriver home will help you make memories that last for years to come. Drop your kayak in the Deschutes River just 800 yards to the east, and enjoy the convenience of a local boat ramp and picnic area available for neighborhood use.
In the winter months, you can spend your days on the slopes of Mt. Bachelor, where you'll have your pick of 101 runs, 11 lifts, and 4,318 acres of skiable terrain. Come summertime, you can explore 13 miles of tree-lined trails in the Mt. Bachelor Bike Park, taste your way along the Bend Ale Trail, play a few rounds of golf at the Sunriver courses, or hike a plethora of trails in the surrounding area.
