"The Chinkapin" is named after the 80 ft. towering Chinkapin Oaks that shade this heavily wooded acre. A perfect place to relax in the shade after a day of fun in the sun! This Amish built beauty is within walking distance of the Crabtree Cove Park entrance where the Crabtree trailhead is located. A .9 mile easy hike that has overlooks the lake and bluffs where many partake in cliff-diving! Crabtree has a self-pay $3 boat launch, fishing docks, playground equipment and more. This all just 4 miles east of the city of Stockton where you can get your food, gas, bait etc.
The Chinkapin's decor is bathed in warm crimsons, golds, blacks and greens with an eclectic flare with handmade barn wood pieces throughout and a touch of industrial metal tied in. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the other bedroom, a queen. The large bath with shower separates the 2 bedrooms, and also has a laundry closet with a front load washer and dryer. The great room has a queen sized sleeper sofa bed best suited for children or young adults. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a dishwasher too, so all you need to bring is food and drink!
The serenity cannot be explained, it must be experienced. Outside all you hear are boats and nature. The deer and turkey are abundant and there are song birds aplenty with bobwhites, owls and coyotes making themselves known at night.
NOTE: We have carved out a piece of nature and share it with flora and fauna and that includes bugs! So if that is something that bothers you, this is not the property for you.
We are new construction with a lot of areas with open dirt (mud if it rains), so this year we are a "no pet" property. Next year we will welcome pets as they are a member of your family.
