Neil McKinnell purchased this house in 2004
We bought this property because of it's perfect location overlooking the beautiful pool, it's fabulous views of the Mediterranean, within walking distance of the lovely Tala Square and only 10 minutes drive from the night life of Kato Paphos.
We knew Cyprus has one of the best climates in the whole of the Mediterranean. We knew everyone spoke English and they drive on the same side of the road as in the UK.... all a bonus for us and for our customer's too.

A few minutes walk from Siesta Dreams will take you to a well recommended Cypriot restaurant which has an excellent varied menu and provides a superb traditional British Sunday lunch. A little further will take you to an excellent Italian restaurant; also well recommended. Only a 5 minute walk away is the traditional Tala Village Square, with a wonderful selection of Cypriot Tavernas and Restaurants, providing excellent cuisine and entertainment such as traditional Cypriot dancing, plus excellent British owned Restaurants and Bistros. All are highly recommended for their food, hospitality and entertainment and a number have fabulous views across Paphos and the Mediterranean.
In Tala Square you will also find a church and small shops, and the panoramic views of the surrounding area and the Mediterranean Sea which are quite beautiful both day and night. All the Restaurants, Tavernas and Bistros are regularly frequented by Cypriots and visitors, and are all firm favourites of the many British residents. Most are open for breakfast, lunch and evening meal.
Close by and all within a few minutes walk you will find a small supermarket, chemist, hairdressers, a bank and several other outlets. Large supermarkets, banks, shops etc are within a 10 minute drive.
Today, Paphos has become a popular seaside resort with a population of 39,500. Kato Paphos, a 10 minute drive away, is the playground of holidaymakers and is built around the medieval port with its numerous luxury hotels, tavernas and entertainment venues. A more hectic night life with a large abundance of bars and clubs is offered in Kato Paphos. Coral Bay, around 15 minutes away, also offers many bars and is renowned to have the best sandy beach in the Paphos area.
Tombs of the Kings: There are actually no kings buried here. Rather the site known as the Tombs of the Kings, one mile (two km) Northwest of Paphos harbour towards Coral Bay, was the final resting place of about 100 Ptolemaic aristocrats who lived and died in the city between 3 BC and 3 AD.
The Mosaics of Paphos: The striking mosaic floors in a series of ancient Roman noblemen's villas, dating from the third to fifth century AD, are a must-see for visitors to Paphos. The site where the villas are still being excavated can be found about 300 metres from the Paphos harbour. The mosaics featuring mythological scenes are visible in the houses of Dionysus, Orpheus and Aion, and the Villa of Theseus.
The stunning Troodos mountains with Mount Olympus at its peak is the place to work up an appetite. With its charming hilltop villages and vine-blessed slopes, a chance to enjoy hiking, cycling, bird watching and in winter time, skiing.
Meanwhile, the rugged Akamas National Park north west of Paphos is the place to see unspoilt nature. It’s here that protected loggerhead turtles return to beautiful Lara Bay each year to lay their eggs.
Cyprus offers an all year round enjoyable golfing experience with the peak season of late autumn & early spring. There are 3 courses all within easy reach of Tala. Tsada Golf Course which is approximately 10 minutes from Tala has 18 holes set in the grounds of a 12th century monastery in a gentle valley. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6060 metres and has an altitude of 550 metres above sea level ensuring cool breezes in the summer months.
Aphrodite Hills Golf Course which is approximately 18kms east of Paphos is an award winning 5 star course. It has 18 holes and is a championship standard course. Secret Valley Golf Club is 18 holes set in spectacular scenery 15km east of Paphos.
