A perfect little "get away from it all"
Our family of 4 headed for the mountains for some seclusion and quietness to escape from our lives on busy Cape Cod in July. We drove through the quaint little town of Ludlow towards Wallingford, then by the little dairy farm and continued heading up the gravel road on the side of a mountain. When we pulled into the long driveway and stepped out onto the property, we knew we found a very special place. The home sits on a very beautiful and peaceful peice of land. The inside of the home is very nicely decorated and is kept very clean. The views of the mountains from the very large windows were breathtaking. Our favorite part was sitting on the screened porch enjoying morning coffee while watching the sun rise over the mountains, then in the evening listening to a moose calling in the distance most likely enjoying the beautiful pond on the property that is just a short hike and picturesque. This home and property is a little piece of heaven. Pamela the homeowner was great and very quick to respond. We enjoyed our stay so much in the summer, we decided to take a long weekend in September. We visited Mad Tom Orchard in East Dorset VT, just a short ride from the home, to pick some apples. There were so many Apple trees surrounded by 360 degrees of gorgeous mountain views. It was breathtaking not to mention no crowds. We highly recommend this home for a memorable getaway. We are not skiers, but love vacationing in the mountains. Can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the winter as well.
Great place for getting away from it all
We had a wonderful and relaxing time in this lovely home. We love to cook and the kitchen was nicely provisioned. There is a great screen porch adjacent to the kitchen/dining area that gets morning sun and fantastic mountain views. Several visits made to close-by White Rocks for hiking. Owner was quickly responsive to all queries. Highly recommend.
Must come back!!!!!!!!!
We had an amazing time in this truly heavenly home. This house is perfectly secluded in the woods and great distance to all the hiking trails. The fire pit was a great addition to end our summer nights. The house was clean, and thank you for stocking it with the little essentials. We are definitely planning on coming and will highly recommend it to all who want a perfect getaway from the city.
Great location! Fun for all.
My family met my brother and his family for a great little get away. House was great and had everything we needed. Perfect for a family get together. We are planning another trip next year!
A nice quiet getaway spot
My family had a great stay at this private and surprisingly spacious house tucked away in the Green Mountains. A quiet respite from our noisy suburban life. We appreciated the stock of condiments and cooking spices when prepping tasty meals. Our stay happened to coincide with a record setting heat wave, and it did get quite hot in the house (no AC), but the downstairs bedrooms were not too bad. Pack a fan if the forecast is over 90 degrees. The nearby Buttermilk waterfalls were a great place to cool off, and beautiful. The property owner is a good communicator. Don't even think about staying in a hotel when you can stay here for a similar price. Highly recommended!
Secluded and Peaceful Home
Beautiful home in a gorgeous area. We had a great family weekend!
