4 Bedroom / 3 Bathroom with Hot Tub and View
Hike, play and explore. Then soak, snuggle and relax. It’s so easy to take a break from the everyday in the peaceful quiet of the Blue Ridge Mountains in this tastefully decorated Log Cabin.
Unwind with a wonderful view while rocking on the covered wrap-around deck. Take it all in from the hot tub on the deck, then warm up in front of the cozy wood-burning fireplace in the family room. Or read a book in the upper loft’s overstuffed chair.
At an elevation close to 4000 feet / 1200 meters, the temperature rarely rises above 80F / 25C in the summer, but the cabin does have air conditioning (A/C installed March 2017) in case of a heat wave. Come for Fall colors. Or visit in the winter for snow activities. This cabin is comfortable year-round.
The cabin features a 60” Plasma big screen TV with Blue Ray/DVD player in the basement/rec room. Plus each bedroom has a 40" Flat Panel LED Smart TV, and another one in the family room. We also have three other DVD players setup with some of the TVs.
Free secure internet access is available for your laptops and mobile devices.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you need - either for a large group meal or a romantic dinner for two. Great view right from the dining table while you eat!
Whether you seek a weekend getaway or an extended stay, both tranquility and excitement can be found here.
Nearby Area Attractions: Take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, a ribbon of road through the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina High Country. The region’s largest town Boone (just six miles away) is home to Appalachian State University and its three-time division I-AA national champion football team. So many opportunities for enjoying the outdoors: hiking, zip line, canoeing, whitewater rafting, skiing, and picnicking in the community! Experience Appalachian heritage and culture with musical offerings, events, and attractions like Horn in the West, Music Fest in Sugar Grove, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, Merle Fest, Concerts on the Lawn, square dances at the Todd Mercantile, and back-porch bluegrass jams at the Original Mast General Store in Valle Crucis.
The cabin has a driveway and small parking area, but we encourage guests to limit number of vehicles to 3 total.

Tired Mamas weekend Away
This property is the perfect location between Boone and Blowing Rock and is easy to get to. Had a wonderful weekend with 6 other women and we all had plenty of space and were very comfortable.
Loved it ! Great place I will be back
Great location and very nice.
Great House for the Season!
This house was exactly as advertised. We had a great stay with very wintry weather! The slopes at Sugar were perfect! All was great. The only caution I would throw out there is the access to the cabin from the street. We were going to bring my 84 yo mother, but glad she backed out, because I'm not sure how we would have got her to and from the car, as the driveway itself is steep and was covered with snow and ice. I shoveled best I could for my other guests' safety. but if stairs were installed. I think that would help greatly! Just an idea.
Elizabeth was very very easy to work with and very accomodating... Great house on a great location. Thank you! B.Balzli
This was our second time staying at the cabin and it was just as great as the first time. Everything you need is supplied and it makes you feel right at home. The hot tub was so nice to come back to after a long day of skiing. The fireplace is amazing, the pool table was great. We saw turkeys and deer running around the neighborhood...so cool! Once inside Crystal Mountain, the hill leading up to Indian Trail can be a little tricky during the winter when it snows if you don't have an all wheel drive vehicle. We didn't have all wheel drive cars so a couple days we parked the cars at the bottom of the hill and just walked up...no biggie!...The communication between the owner Elizabeth and us leading up to our trip was great and once we got there Katie, the caretaker kept in touch with us and was so wonderful. I would totally recommend staying here!! It's awesome!!!😃💖⛷🏂
The cabin was absolutely beautiful. You are immediately greeted by an inviting scent of a warm log cabin, very woodsy, warm lighting and a great view. This was a great place for our small family gathering. All our beds were comfortable, the hot tub outside was the largest of any VRBO we've stayed in the past. The log fireplace was wonderful during the cold evenings. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped compared to the other VBROs we've stayed in the past. The pool table downstairs was great, we enjoyed our stay. The directions that came with the information package needs a bit of tweaking. This place is indeed a hideaway and was a little hard to find, but once we got there, all was good! We would most definitely stay here again. Our thanks to the wonderful family who maintains this home. This home was a blessing to us.
Delighted that you enjoyed your stay!
Thank you for the feedback on welcome information, we'll work on that.
