Susan and Roger Cyr
About Susan and Roger Cyr
We have lived in Peachland since 1992 and are now retired from the real estate industry. Both of us love to travel in Canada and internationally experiencing different cultures. Roger enjoys fishing, both fresh and salt water, and big game hunting. Susan loves gardening, hiking, reading & cooking. Experiencing wines from many of the Okanagan's local vintners, and dining at one of our fab restaurants is another "hobby". Like many people in our area, we are not true "locals" since we grew up in different areas of Canada. Roger is an Islander - born and raised in Port Alberni, BC. Susan grew up in Eastern Canada and was an "air force brat". Born in Gimli Manitoba her family was transferred to different bases in Winnipeg, Toronto area, and Ottawa and eventually they moved west to Edmonton. On a whim, Susan moved from Edmonton to in 1979 and 5 years later she met Roger through a work colleague. They left the area for a few years living in Nelson, Calgary and Victoria but returned to the Valley in 1992. No kids, just puppies, and the current "boss" is Joey. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Serenity Lake View opened its door in June 2017. We hosted a number of couples from BC, Alberta, Ontario and some Europeans from England, Scotland and Austria. We have received great reviews from our guests on the comfort and quiet, private surroundings. Our guests appreciate our "there when you need us" approach to hosting. When it comes to offering accommodation, Susan is a self-proclaimed "hotel snob" and wouldn't offer anything she wouldn't stay in herself!

Why Susan and Roger Cyr chose Peachland
Peachland is the jewel of the Okanagan. Since moving here in 1992 we have seen the town evolve from a sleepy hollow into a much desired beach town popular not only with tourists but locals from around the Valley as well. It's a very friendly, safe town with a strong sense of community. We feel fortunate to live here!
What makes this bed & breakfast unique
Our home is the third, and final, residence we have built in Peachland. We chose this lot because of iets privacy and stunning lake views. Construction started in the winter of 2001 and we finally moved in May 2002. We designed the main living spaces and were the general contractors with Roger overseeing the entire project and being involved with the physical construction. Over the years we developed the landscaping, installed and planted all the gardens which we maintain ourselves. With the gorgeous lake views and beautiful weather the upkeep doesn't seem like work :)
