Very clean and comfortable.
Hot water in shower difficult to figure out. Also, upstairs neighbors were very loud during night. Otherwise loved apartment.
Such a nice place!
The apartment surpassed my expectations I got from the pictures. It was safe, comfortable and quiet. Loved that it was just a short walk to a B-cycle station which was a fun way to get around the area. Being close to the interstate was also helpful but it never really seemed like we were close to a busy road. It was also a very short drive to the downtown area. So the location was excellent. The apartment itself was clean and just perfect for a couple. The bed was very comfortable as was the furnishings. If we ever have to return to the Des Moines area I would definitely look to stay at Steve’s place again.
Beautiful little 1 bedroom apartment in great location!
Visited for a Diana Krall concert at the Sherman Hoyt Auditorium. Great location in the Sherman Hill historic district, just off of highway 225 and the Martin Luther King Parkway. Quiet, even though close to the highway with easy parking either in the back lot or on the street. 2 blocks from Smokey Row Coffee, easy 8 minute walk to Gateway Market (great food!), and 10 minute walk to Sherman Hoyt Place.
Very modern décor and very clean. 1 bedroom with queen bed, small bathroom with tub and shower, entry foyer, living room and small kitchen. Shower head sits about 5'8" but worked ok for my 6'1" frame. Kitchen has small 4 gas-burner stove, 3/4 sized refridge/freezer, 1-cup Keurig with great dark coffee and all the normal dishes, cookware and utensils. Large TV in living area and small flat screen in bedroom. Living room also has Roku though I did not use it to see what streaming services were available. Provides everything you need, in a nice quiet setting. Great place to stay if you like something close to the west-side of the river downtown area (about a mile downhill walk). I'm sure I'll be back!
The place was clean and practical for us. The only complaint I have is my son and I are 6 ft tall and the shower was short for us. The shower head hits us at our chin. The rest of the place was just as described. Quiet neighborhood and relatively close to town.
Cozy and comfy
Nice and clean with amenities of coffee and snacks and toiletries supplied by owner.
