Nan & Pop (Mr & Mrs Austin and Claire Vardy) were my Grandparents. My Grandfather was a woodworker and created many of the mirrors that are displayed throughout the home. He whittled birds and crafted whirley-gigs, and my grandmother painted them. They supported the family with the proceeds from a small craft store called “The Pine Shop” in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. Many of the antiques and vintage pieces you find here are from our family home in Mahone Bay. Others, were left to me by my wonderful mother Darlene who also ran a local bakery and restaurant in North Saanich. 'The Roost' A Farm Bakery exists today and still creates some of her delicious recipes. Be sure to have a sticky bun or a piece of pie. Yumm! While you are here

We had an amazing time and the place was exactly how it was mentioned
We booked this house for a business trip and it was a great experience. The house was well maintained and looked really nice. The owner replies promptly and is very accommodating. We will definitely refer this place to anyone visiting Victoria.
