Nestled in the Olympic Mountains, and tucked away on the sunny side of beautiful Lake Sutherland, is our vacation home, Sutherland Seasons. Close to town, but far from the crowds, our home will help you relax, recharge, and embrace the lake life.
Located off Highway 101 on a short, private cul-de-sac, gentle stairs lead you down to a spectacular view, with a house to match. The main floor has a wrap-around deck, with built-in hot tub, while the upstairs master suite has its own private balcony for taking in the sweeping views of the lake.
Our house comfortably sleeps six, with a queen bed in the main floor bedroom, a king bed in the master suite upstairs, and a sofa bed in the living room. (With an incredibly comfortable TempurPedic mattress, this is definitely not your grandma's sofa bed!) Each bedroom has an adjoining large bathroom with full sized shower. There are flat screen TV's in both bedrooms, with DirecTV satellite hook-up. The upstairs master suite even has an eclectic collection of DVD's. Our roomy and well-equipped kitchen will make meal preparation quick and trouble-free.
A walk down to the lake shore brings you to our seasonal waterfall that tumbles into the lake. There is an elevated deck for sun-bathing or relaxing. For those that come for the full lake experience, there are two kayaks and a stand-up paddle board available for your use.
If you choose to venture out on day-trips, Lake Sutherland is only 13 miles from Port Angeles; perfect for a day of shopping or sight-seeing. It is a mere five minutes to the Olympic National Park and Lake Crescent, and less than two hours to the Pacific ocean, with numerous hiking trails and look-outs in between.
Each season on the lake has its own unique charm. Spring, with the opening of lake fishing. Summer, with its world-class wake surfers. Fall, with its breath-taking foliage; and finally, Winter, often transforming the lake into a winter wonderland. Some years we are even treated to a white Christmas!
Whether you seek solitude with nature, or fun in the sun, we welcome you to our home.

Perfect get away!
We had a wonderful, way too short weekend. The home is perfect for a small family gathering. My daughter and her family all enjoyed kayaking, we all enjoyed the beauty and solitude of the lake. The house had everything anyone could ask for. We enjoyed the comfortable setting and fun assortment of artwork on the walls, the great assortment of games and movies kept us all entertained. We drove a few short miles to Crescent Lake and hiked to Marymier Falls, a perfect hike for seniors as well as our 4 year old grandson.
Thanks so much for sharing your lovely home.
Great relaxing views of the lake!
We recently spent three nights nights at Fabulous Lake Sutherland! And it was a fabulous stay! The home is exactly as described and has wonderful views of the lake, particularly when the sun hits it just right. Charlotte was a gracious host and always there if we needed something. Kitchen was well appointed and we cooked gourmet halibut dinners. Really appreciated the washer and dryer and found the location centrally located to the sights in Olympic Park and Port Angeles. From here we ventured to the Hot Springs, Hurricane Ridge and Port Townsend. A real home away from home :) Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful, Comfortable and well Equipped Vacation Rental!
We had such a great time with all of the comforts of home we enjoyed beautiful Hurricane Ridge and lake Sutherland so much that we will definitely be back. Charlotte was so easy to get a hold of when we needed her. The view was so beautiful and quiet it was hard to leave for sure!
Thank you Charlotte we will be back again for another Girls Getaway!
Great location and Extremely Comfortable House
Location was sublime. House felt like home immediately, and was incredibly well stocked with everything any of us could need or want. Charlotte was so helpful, kind and pleasant, which made it all even better. The highlights were the views, the well stocked kitchen, the impeccably pristine condition of the home and being able to kayak on the lake.
The house was amazing with all amenities. The views of the lake are breathtaking.
The whole family had an amazing time this weekend. We are looking forward to coming back soon.
Awesome home with gorgeous views!
We were two small families who rented this home for a quick Christmas get-together and it was lovely! The owners must have recently remodeled because everything was brand new and spic-and-span clean. The first day it rained all day, so we played cards and games and cooked in the well-appointed kitchen. Next day was snowshoeing on Hurricane Ridge! We were very close to Olympic National Park -- the house is very convenient situated close to the Ridge, the Elwha River and Lake Crescent. And convenient to all of the terrific restaurants in Port Angeles too -- Kokopelli Grill = YUM! After a day of snowshoeing it was wonderful to relax in the hot tub on the deck facing the lake. We never wanted to leave! So much fun in an awesome home. Thank you for the memories! The Eckards and The Marshes
