Overview

About the property

Nestled in the Olympic Mountains, and tucked away on the sunny side of beautiful Lake Sutherland, is our vacation home, Sutherland Seasons. Close to town, but far from the crowds, our home will help you relax, recharge, and embrace the lake life.

Located off Highway 101 on a short, private cul-de-sac, gentle stairs lead you down to a spectacular view, with a house to match.  The main floor has a wrap-around deck, with built-in hot tub, while the upstairs master suite has its own private balcony for taking in the sweeping views of the lake.

Our house comfortably sleeps six, with a queen bed in the main floor bedroom, a king bed in the master suite upstairs, and a sofa bed in the living room. (With an incredibly comfortable TempurPedic mattress, this is definitely not your grandma's sofa bed!) Each bedroom has an adjoining large bathroom with full sized shower. There are flat screen TV's in both bedrooms, with DirecTV satellite hook-up. The upstairs master suite even has an eclectic collection of DVD's. Our roomy and well-equipped kitchen will make meal preparation quick and trouble-free.

A walk down to the lake shore brings you to our seasonal waterfall that tumbles into the lake. There is an elevated deck for sun-bathing or relaxing. For those that come for the full lake experience, there are two kayaks and a stand-up paddle board available for your use.

If you choose to venture out on day-trips, Lake Sutherland is only 13 miles from Port Angeles; perfect for a day of shopping or sight-seeing. It is a mere five minutes to the Olympic National Park and Lake Crescent, and less than two hours to the Pacific ocean, with numerous hiking trails and look-outs in between.

Each season on the lake has its own unique charm. Spring, with the opening of lake fishing. Summer, with its world-class wake surfers. Fall, with its breath-taking foliage; and finally, Winter, often transforming the lake into a winter wonderland. Some years we are even treated to a white Christmas!

Whether you seek solitude with nature, or fun in the sun, we welcome you to our home.

Awesome home with gorgeous views!

  • 5 of 5

We were two small families who rented this home for a quick Christmas get-together and it was lovely! The owners must have recently remodeled because everything was brand new and spic-and-span clean. The first day it rained all day, so we played cards and games and cooked in the well-appointed kitchen. Next day was snowshoeing on Hurricane Ridge! We were very close to Olympic National Park -- the house is very convenient situated close to the Ridge, the Elwha River and Lake Crescent. And convenient to all of the terrific restaurants in Port Angeles too -- Kokopelli Grill = YUM! After a day of snowshoeing it was wonderful to relax in the hot tub on the deck facing the lake. We never wanted to leave! So much fun in an awesome home. Thank you for the memories! The Eckards and The Marshes

Comfortable house in grand location

  • 5 of 5

This house was our base for a reunion with friends and family, the rest of whom were in a nearby house on the same lake. Very well maintained home with very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Good location on friendly lake Sutherland for activities in Olympic National Park, including hiking, boating on spectacular Crescent Lake and celebratory dinning at cozy Crescent Lake Lodge, all very close to the house. Charlotte Anderson is a very attentive manager and readily available during our stay.

The Perfect Little Vacation Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely vacation spot! My husband and I rented this property for a weekend in October with our two young girls and my parents. It was their anniversary and we wanted to celebrate them and spend time with them. This was a perfect house for us. It was very clean, cozy, quiet and had all the little luxuries we love while on vacation (good coffee, kayaks, paddle board, amazing views and of course the hot tub). Our girls loved fishing with their grandparents and we loved relaxing by the beautiful lake. This really is a great place to create those sweet memories with your loved ones. Thank you Charlotte. We felt welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay and hope to come back again soon.

A sweet retreat into nature with all the comforts of home...vacation, the best way I can imagine.

Sutherland Seasons - what a gem of a get-away!

Tucked upon the hillside, Sutherland Seasons is as relaxing and beautiful of an experience and setting you could hope for.

To begin, the home is beautifully furbished and recently renovated providing an indoor and outdoor atmosphere that is nothing but Pacific Northwest comfort. Two-story decking with captivating lakeside views draws you perpetually outside (not to mention the 1st story hot tub).

If you're a water person (as I am) you'll be DElighted with the ease of access down to the lake and use of their boating equipment (two kayaks and one paddleboard). The lake and surrounding area is a pristine sanctuary of crystal blue water and rugged pine-covered mountains with almost no surface competition for lake time during late September. Bird-watching was a welcomed past-time from the decks and front windows.

Everything from check-in to check-out was a cinch and as described in the VRBO description. Many thanks to Charlotte for the sweet details welcoming us to this magical space of rest and retreat. We sincerely could not have been more pleased or thankful for this home that provided us such a treasured get-away for memory-making. We hope to return in the coming years for more of the same.

Have I mentioned I highly recommend this rental property? Oh, I guess I'm just hoping to squirrel it away for myself...

Many, many thanks for sharing and hosting us.
