Let the photos speak for themselves while illustrating the perfect location for your stay in the high country.
What I love about this condo: I love the level steps to the outdoors. It offers so much more connection with the resort amenities, the lush grounds, and less worry about kids playing outside when you can see them from the patio, living room, and kitchen. The floors between the condos are concrete slab with metal stud construction, so the unit is quiet and well-built. Because the Cardinal building is located at the top of Chetola Resort, the light and unobstructed views from this lower level unit are surprising. When we found this unit we saw so much opportunity to create a space where we want to spend our time and create memories. My passion is interior design/ property renovation. This condo has been so much fun to create and we look forward to sharing it with others. We have stayed in the high country and Chetola for two decades. Now we have collected all of these experiences to create the perfect space to share with you.
About the owner: Both my husband and I lived in mountainous areas surrounded by fresh water lakes growing up. I grew up on Smith Mountain Lake, VA, where the Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountains meet 500 miles of a large fresh water lake and attended Virginia Tech for undergrad. Approximately 800 miles to our north, my husband grew up in South Sutton, NH, in the lakes region and attended University of Vermont on Lake Champlain where the same Appalachian Mountains meet even larger bodies of water. When we decided to live in Chapel Hill, NC, I was eager to introduce my husband to Boone/Blowing Rock where I lived for two years while finishing my graduate degree from Appalachian State University. Sure enough… it became our happy place.
