Stunning! That's the most common remark I've received after totally gutting and remodeling our condo. This is our second home and we only rent it when our family isn't using it. It is truly a "home away from home." I love to cook so the kitchen is nicely equipped and all the furnishings are much nicer than the typical "rental quality." The best feature of this home is the proximity to the beach. We overlook lagoons and have a gorgeous view of the water. We are literally just a few steps (one guest counted 157 steps) down to the beach!! Drift off to sleep while listening to the water running in the lagoon just below. Watch the blue heron catch fish in the lagoon. Enjoy our beautiful gardens. I've planted 30 gardenias in the garden just below my condo.
I also own the condo next door. I bought it so I can host larger gatherings of family and friends. The two condos can be rented separately or together if you need more space or want to visit with another family.
The kitchen is fully equipped and offers stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and an eat-at Island. The kitchen includes small appliances such as blender, mixer, crock pot, toaster oven and Keurig coffee maker as well as all dishware, cookware and utensils. There are 3 large flat screen TV's with cable, DVD players, Washer and Dryer, Iron and Ironing board, all linens including sheets, towels, blankets, etc. (I do not provide beach towels.) I provide high speed Wi-Fi and CD player. There is a jet tub in the Guest Bath and a walk-in Shower in the Master Bath. The Master bedroom has a king size bed with memory foam mattress.. The second bedroom has a queen bed memory foam mattresses, (this bed is not adjustable) too. From our high-top dining table you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over the ocean. The Master bedroom provides a beautiful view of the ocean, too.
On site, the resort offers 3 pools - one beach side pool, a large family pool with a kiddie pool and an indoor pool with a hot tub. There is an exercise room, tennis courts, shuffle board court, swings, playground and several grilling areas. The resort is located in a very secluded part of the Island between two historical parks. It is in a Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary. Walk out on the pier and you might catch the dolphins playing nearby! Our beach is a "natural beach" which is a protected area which ensures that it is always be natural, unspoiled and beautiful - Not your typical tourist area with life guards, beach chairs and lots of tourist - the beach is just as mother nature created it. Hurricane Matthew left us with a huge sand bar that is perfect for sun bathing and children playing in the sand and surf. Our location at the mouth of the Port Royal Sound slows down the tidal current. It is perfect for small children and those who don't care for large strong waves. Our beach front is perfect for walking along in the surf, building sand castles, finding treasures along the beach and enjoying nature. Little ones love our beach because the water is shallow and we do not have the strong waves. If you want the bigger waves to surf or play in, there are several nice beaches parks along the Atlantic shore line (I'll send you a map) within a few minutes drive or bike ride - as are 20+ public golf courses! Hilton Head is a meca for golfers!! You will also many grocery stores, unique shops, chain stores, a shopping mall and a Tanger outlet mall. We have around 200 restaurants on the Island offering every type of food choice imaginable and feature some of finest restaurants in the world. One of my favorite things to do is rent bikes. The trails take you all over the Island without being on the roads (except to cross them). It's a nice, easy, level ride and a great way to explore the Island. The rental companies deliver the bikes to the resort and pick them up when you are finished. There are all types of water activity. Deep sea fishing, sailing, parasailing, jet skis, boat rental, dinner cruises, ferries to other Islands. We are also a 45 drive to Savannah, Ga. and 1.5 hour drive to Charleston, SC.
