Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8 (8 adults)
Experience a mountain getaway unlike any other at Falling Leaf Retreat, a modern three-bedroom cabin. During your stay, enjoy a private hot tub, a wood-burning fireplace, and plenty of space for up to eight guests.
Vacationing families and groups of friends will love this retreat in North Georgia's picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains. You're only 80 miles north of Atlanta, and it's an easy to reach destination that lies just off US-382.
Admire the spacious front porch as you walk inside this cozy cabin. Kick off your shoes and settle in on leather couches in the living area, and throw some logs in the fireplace if it's chilly outside. Catch a restful mid-day nap here, or gather your group for some board games. Other entertainment options include DVD- and cable-equipped television. (However, there is no Internet).
With stainless steel appliances, spacious countertops, and assorted cookware, the well-equipped kitchen has everything you'll need to cook homemade breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Enjoy meals together at the nearby wooden table or take your culinary creations onto the front porch for an al fresco experience. Feel like having a cookout? Simply fire up the deck's gas grill and get barbecuing.
You'll also have access to a river park area that's perfect for inner tube floating during the summer, a children's playground, a pond for fishing, nature trails and picnic areas.
Wind down from the day with a dip in the private hot tub back home, then retire to bed. Up to eight guests are accommodated on queen beds in all three bedrooms and a queen sofabed in a loft adds space for your final two group members.
In the morning, lace up some sturdy shoes for a hike to Amicalola Falls, stroll down the boardwalk to explore boutique shops and delicious restaurants in downtown Ellijay, or spend a day swimming and suntanning at Carter's Lake beach. In the area, you'll also find seasonal farmers markets, winetasting at 20 wineries, and a plethora of outdoor activities to choose from, including mountain biking, hiking, fly-fishing, rock climbing, kayaking, and much more.

About Vacasa, GA - Atlanta Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers. Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team. Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

"Met our needs"
The cabin is relatively close to one of the main roads and entrance. It's also a quick ride to recreation area & pool. Home was equipped with needed essentials with the exception on internet. We'd planned on being out and about, so it was not an necessity us. The beds were satisfactory but could use some tlc. Deer activity was a joy to watch as they moved about community. Homes location was a fair distance to surrounding attractions and restaraunts. Would return when back in area.
Great Long Weekend
We had a great time. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. We didn't use the community pool area. I see others commented on the need for a card. They are correct, there was no mention of needing a card for access and it wasn't in the binder or other information we received, however, we did see a card hanging on the coat hooks behind the door and wasn't sure what it was for. The were holes punched out and we could punch them out. If that card was to be used for something, we weren't aware and could have made it more difficult for someone else if the card being punched out didn't allow someone else use of the facilities. The property manager might want to make sure to let people know about that. I did contact Vacasa when arrived because we didn't get the email for early arrival. They answered on the 3 ring and let us know we could arrive early. We had no other problems. Great stay and would come back!
We apologize for the frustration with pool access. Due to the high cost, the owner has determined not to provide access passes anymore. We have removed this option from the description and listed amenities, though guests are welcome to purchase their own passes if that suits their needs.
Great Long Weekend
We came up from Tampa for a long weekend with another couple. The cabin was perfect! It is in a gated community and very quite. There were houses around with cars parked in the driveways but we NEVER saw or heard anyone. The only 2 downsides to the cabin were: 1) There was no wifi. Yeah, I know, some like to unplug and we do too, but the few times I needed to connect with work wasn't possible. I had cell service but the signal wasn't that strong to use my hotspot. They do tell you in advance there isn't wifi, so it wasn't a surprise. Again, not a deal breaker by any means. 2) We slept in the bed downstairs. Very comfortable memory foam mattress. Our friends slept upstairs and said both beds were hard and not very comfortable to sleep on and are very low to the floor. These beds would be great for kids, but older adults or people with back problems, might have a hard time sleeping on them. Nothing that would stop us from coming here again, but would maybe bring a roll up foam mattress pad next time :)
The cabin offered everything we needed in the kitchen. Some before us had left salt and pepper and bread crumbs in the cupboard. There were also some great movies, board games and puzzles to entertain us. Satellite TV with HBO as well.
The drive to downtown Ellijay was about 20 minutes. There are also 4 or more wineries in the area. Get yourself a DD as driving up the winding roads back to the cabin isn't smart with some alcohol in you :)
Already planning our trip back in October!
Lovely cabin, no response to an issue
If you want to relax and enjoy the cabin and hottub, it was wonderful and clean. I had a bad experience with the amenities. There is a punch card that you must have to utilize pool and ours was all punched out. The local manager didn't return my call and we purchased late check out for no reason, because we couldn't use the pool. Had I known we wouldn't have access, I would have stayed elsewhere.<br />
This Home was great, had a very Home like feeling and very spacious, not to far from things and not to close to things. It was just right. I will stay there again.
It was warm and welcoming, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Everything that was offered was there and more, not to far from grocery stores, it was a very fun and welcoming experiencez
