About the property

House, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 4

If you're looking for the ideal spot to whisk your special someone away to for a romantic mountain escape, look no further than this Idyllwild cottage. Featuring a dog-friendly atmosphere and a great location, you'll be able to unwind in the beauty of the mountains.

Set just a mile from the Tahquitz Peak Trailhead and a little less than two miles from the natural beauty of Mount San Jacinto State Park, outdoor fun will always be close at hand. In the wintertime, we recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to access the home safely.

Cuddle up on the plush couch under the vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings. The two private washer/dryers will make sure everyone stays looking their best during your stay.

Pop the tops on a couple of ice-cold beers and kick back on the deck while you stream some music over the free WiFi. Use the gas grill to cook up your fresh catch from fishing in the streams.

In the kitchen, you'll find a four-burner stove, refrigerator, and microwave for something quick. Sit at the breakfast bar or take your food out to dine with a view. End the day with some channel surfing on the flatscreen TV or a DVD to make it a movie night.

This one-bedroom (plus loft), one-bathroom home has room for up to four guests and well-behaved dogs (for a small nightly fee) to stay in comfort. In the bedroom, there is a king-size bed waiting to lull you into a restful night of sleep. Up in the loft, there is a double bed for your guests to enjoy.

Wake up and throw the ball in the fenced yard for Fido while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Make sure your camera is charged and has plenty of space, then head out to hit the trails of Tahquitz Peak Trailhead that weave through the rugged terrain.

Stroll along the picturesque banks of Strawberry Creek to find a picnic spot for you and your special someone. Wander along Deer Spring Trail or learn about the local ecosystem at the Idyllwild Nature Center. Afterward, grab a meal to remember at GastroGnome and enjoy a night out.

When the mountains start calling, answer with a trip to this Southern California cabin!

Clean, cozy, and perfect for our family

  • 5 of 5

We arrived and the cabin was clean with lights on and easy to access. The location is in a beautiful valley below Taquitz Rock. Cabin was even better than the pictures. Everything was clean and neat. Exterior appears to be freshly painted and looks beautiful. My wife and I stayed with our two children and dog. This was a perfect fit for our family. Everything in the cabin was easy to find. A small library of movies was available. There was even a Playstation 3!everything in the kitchen worked well. We made all our meals successfully. Beds were plenty comfy and the heaters kept the cabin warm. This was our first time in Idyllwild, and we definitely will be back to stay in this cabin again.

Nice small cabin.

Updated living room area and nice sleeping furnishings. Kitchen and bathroom were small and functional but a little bit older.

The property worked well for us. We passed the drive way at first but loved the area around it. Wish it had snowed this year, I’m sure it would’ve been gorgeous. But it was still really nice

About Vacasa, CA - Morongo Basin Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
