If you're looking for the ideal spot to whisk your special someone away to for a romantic mountain escape, look no further than this Idyllwild cottage. Featuring a dog-friendly atmosphere and a great location, you'll be able to unwind in the beauty of the mountains.
Set just a mile from the Tahquitz Peak Trailhead and a little less than two miles from the natural beauty of Mount San Jacinto State Park, outdoor fun will always be close at hand. In the wintertime, we recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to access the home safely.
Cuddle up on the plush couch under the vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings. The two private washer/dryers will make sure everyone stays looking their best during your stay.
Pop the tops on a couple of ice-cold beers and kick back on the deck while you stream some music over the free WiFi. Use the gas grill to cook up your fresh catch from fishing in the streams.
In the kitchen, you'll find a four-burner stove, refrigerator, and microwave for something quick. Sit at the breakfast bar or take your food out to dine with a view. End the day with some channel surfing on the flatscreen TV or a DVD to make it a movie night.
This one-bedroom (plus loft), one-bathroom home has room for up to four guests and well-behaved dogs (for a small nightly fee) to stay in comfort. In the bedroom, there is a king-size bed waiting to lull you into a restful night of sleep. Up in the loft, there is a double bed for your guests to enjoy.
Wake up and throw the ball in the fenced yard for Fido while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Make sure your camera is charged and has plenty of space, then head out to hit the trails of Tahquitz Peak Trailhead that weave through the rugged terrain.
Stroll along the picturesque banks of Strawberry Creek to find a picnic spot for you and your special someone. Wander along Deer Spring Trail or learn about the local ecosystem at the Idyllwild Nature Center. Afterward, grab a meal to remember at GastroGnome and enjoy a night out.
When the mountains start calling, answer with a trip to this Southern California cabin!

About Vacasa, CA - Morongo Basin Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers. Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team. Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Great little cabin. Everything was clean and worked well. Nice just get away and relax. Awesome view of the mountain.
Such wonderful, cozy accommodations, close to the main strip in Idyllwild with shopping and cute restaurants, and beautiful hiking options--must try!!!
Great for relaxing getaway!
It was a very clean, comfortable and relaxing place.
Best cabin ever!!!
This place is great!! We loved it. We enjoyed it!! Highly recommend it.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed during our stay. The backyard had plenty of space for our dog. The location was perfect as well- a walking distance from hiking trails. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay there again when we are in the area.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The heaters worked great and the place was comfortable. It was a little off putting when the welcome gift bag was full of cleaning supplies. I would have appreciated instructions on how to operate the fire place properly. It has some type of vent fan on the bottom, not sure what it's supposed to do or how it works. Also, the lighting in the kitchen was very poor. It was difficult to cook in the kitchen at night. The light over the stove was broken. I do like that the property is completely fenced in, great for bringing family pets along.
We appreciate receiving this feedback and will work with maintenance on these items.
