Beautiful and Accessible!

Property is well maintained. Easily accessible (although a little easy to miss if you are coming in after dusk). Well furnished and stocked. Quiet and within easy reach of the State Park near by. It is also easy to get to Austin and San Marcos from this location. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nature getaway close to the action of culture centers of Austin and even College Station!

Save your money!

First of all, I want to say that Vacasa was great to work with. They sent all the check in, check out & home information in an organized & timely manner. They were also very accommodating when they learned we were unhappy with the property. My issue is not with Vacasa, but with the property itself.

Unfortunately, this home is just not a nice property. It sits right off the highway & you can hear cars zooming by at all hours of the day & night. Extremely hard to sleep. There was pet hair all over the place. It was dusty & old, in major need of renovations. The yard is in terrible condition & while the courtyard & porch look cute in the pictures, we had no desire to be out there with the highway noise, yard condition & power lines. The kitchen, bathrooms & pantry for the laundry are pretty gross as well.

We paid $710 total for a 2 night stay. That is just robbery given the condition of this place. Vacasa did provide a $200 refund, so at around $500 total - we were happier.

We stayed here due to the location of a wedding we were going too & it was convenient to that. However, I would have preferred a longer drive & alternate accommodations. By the time we checked in, no other nearby properties were available -so we were kinda stuck here.

Save yourself the disappointment & book elsewhere. I'm not sure there is an issue with Vacasa, I just think this home needs to be priced differently based on the location & condition of the property. I'm not sure I would pay more than $100 per night for this place.

Its Grandma's cabin and she didnt clean

Dont know where to begin..we rent alot on HomeAway and this property has to be the worst we have rented. Its like your grandparents left for the weekend and let you stay there. Its old, dusty, dirty, and stinky. The pics are deceiving, be warned! The house is right off a highway and the sound of cars/trucks is deafening. Every inch of this place needs updating. If you want an old house in the middle of nowhere, this is the place for you. We walked in and immediately called the number for a full refund. We didnt spend more than 1 hr here.
