Relaxing Lake Cottage
We loved the cottage. It was very clean and well maintained and we really loved the decor. We enjoyed waking up each morning to the stunning view of the lake. The deck, surrounded by flowers, plants and a budding tomato plant was a wonderful area to relax and read a book or watch the assortment of birds fly by. Peggy has an extensive library with a variety of books to choose from and enjoy. We also took advantage of the kayaks to use on the lake and the private beach, which was an evening delight, with a fire pit and available firewood. The kitchen has all of the appliances that you could want for cooking a gourmet meal. All in all, we look forward to staying there again sometime. Thank you Peggy for being such a gracious host and making us so comfortable.
A little slice of paradise
I can't say enough good things about my stay here!
The location on the waterfront is to die for, the garden is gorgeous (replete with fresh tomatoes!) and the deck and house are beautifully furnished, making for a wonderful, peaceful home away from home (in fact much nicer than my own home in many ways!).
We swam from the jetty and kayaked up and down the coastline (ogling the endless parade of opulent mansions!). The long walking trail near the house was also an unexpected treat, as were the beautiful deer we saw there on several occasions.
Peggy was also a perfect hostess, meeting us when we arrived to give us a tour, and leaving for us many thoughtful items such as bathrobes and food items to enjoy so we wouldn't need to go out shopping on our first night.
Dear iestyn: Thanks for your great review and you were the perfect guests! So happy you enjoyed your stay. We think it's quite magical too! Peggy
