About Mary Anderson
This property is locally owned by a lifelong Savannah resident and managed by Mary Anderson with Savannah Luxury Rentals. Enjoy staying in a home that is recently renovated and cared for by both the owner and the manager.
Why Mary Anderson chose Beach Institute
Savannah's Historic District is a one square mile area in which there are diverse homes from mansions to cottages to high rises. We are famous for being a walking city and this little cottage is such an easy place to call home!
What makes this Cottage unique
Parking is free on the street! While it is first come first served you will find it is rarely necessary to park even as far away as a hotel room door from a typical hotel parking lot. This is a laid back residential part of downtown where you will not have to fight for a spot.
Canceled bookings will not receive a refund
Cute and Convenient
The house was cute and convenient to the entire historic district.
Awesome Place To Stay
I absolutely loved the place. The property manager was awesome. Will definitely stay again.
This unit was very nice, and convenient to the entire historic district. The patio was beautiful with very large elephant ears. Highly recommended.
The only problem was the living room rug was filthy. It should be removed, we almost considered not staying there because of the initial presentation. That was very disturbing, I had to wear my shoes because of it. The rest of the unit was clean and comfortable.
Thanks for the 5 stars Dawn! The living room rug was a plain tan sisal rug and it had a faint coffee spill stain which we did not think was so bad. But obviously it was bothering some guests so we have changed it! We have a nice new rug that is easier to clean in the living room now as of May 25, 2019.
This little cottage is an absolute gem. The location was ideal and the place was sparkling clean, comfortable and up to date in every way. Check in/out was seamless with the coded entry. It will be my "go to" when I return to Savannah.
super cute, clean, updated
This place is a gem. Everything about it is new, updated, clean, and shiny. We were only here for two nights but we absolutely picked the right place. We could have walked to a lot of places but as the weather was chilly we drove and everything was within 5-10 minutes. Honestly we weren't in the cottage very much but loved using the refrigerator and we even took advantage and used the washer/dryer. We did sit outside briefly while I used my lap top (they have wi fi) to check out some restaurants and it was really nice to have a private place to sit outside and do that. Not sure when we'll be in Savannah again (we loved it but were only passing thru) but we would go back to this cottage. There is a caution about parking during the weekday, during the day. Twice we left the cottage early, like 8:00 am and workman took a lot of parking spots but we did still find probably the last spot on the street.
You can walk to multiple restaurants, shops, museums, one large downtown supermarket (Kroger) and several small local food stores from this location, all within one mile of the cottage. There is also a Farmer's Market in Forsyth Park on Saturdays. Forsyth Park is like the central park of downtown Savannah and boasts a nice public tennis court and a basketball court. Less than 7 miles away from this downtown area you will find a mall, public golf course, 2 major hospitals, 3 movie theaters and other major shopping center stores such as Target and Publix.
