Located at 949 N. Kalaheo Ave., Kailua, HI 96734 (Hawaii License Number GET / TAT #W02988282-01). Spacious and quiet apartment at the back garden site of our home in Kailua, on the windward side of Oahu. Beautiful Kailua Bay invites you to relax or walk on the white sandy beach, enjoy the ocean (great for boogie boarding) year round balmy weather, and the special Hawaiian atmosphere. Hosts speak also German.

The landscaping surrounding the property and home is lush and tropical. The apartment has a cozy living room with a brand new sofa which converts into a queen bed, a color TV and DVD, a large bedroom with a king-size bed, a bathroom, a kitchen with dining area, a private entrance with a covered lanai for comfortable outside sitting.

The sandy beach, ideal for swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, kite surfing, kayaking is just a five minute walk from the house. Kailua town is a quite less than 5 minute drive from the home where you will find several restaurants, shopping centers, and much more. There are bus stops for those who would rather tour the island by bus. Maps to help you find our home will be provided.

The unit was cute, and comfortable. Had everything you need, including beach type items. short walk to beach, and close to grocery store. Annette and her husband were wonderful hosts. Will definitely stay there again.

Perfect accommodation for our small family

We loved staying in this property. It was the perfect place for my husband and I and our 8 month old baby. The unit is attached to the owner's property but it is very private and has a separate entrance. There is a big fence around the whole property which is great for kids and makes parking very secure. The bed is huge and super comfortable. The couch was also very comfortable, and we enjoyed watching movies after the baby went to sleep. There is everything you could need in the kitchen, and Annette even gave us coffee, fruit and some other staples to get started. The super market is an easy 5-7 minute walk away. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk in the other direction.

Annette was a lovely host and was always around when we had a question. She even let us use her wagon to take our baby to and from the beach and there were beach toys and snorkel gear we could use as well. We rented some other baby gear (crib, high chair, stroller) from Paradise Baby and it was delivered to the property when we arrived and picked-up the day we left, so all very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely apartment. Great location if you love beaches.

Great location to explore Oahu. Kailua beach just a stroll away and we really enjoyed our morning beach walks here. Lanikai beach just south of Kailua is spectacular. Easy to drive to the North Shore, Waikiki and the Leeward coast for more amazing beaches. Secure gated parking at the house and the owners are almost always there so very safe. We were here for 3 weeks and really got to discover this beautiful island.

This was the perfect place to stay while we were in Hawaii! Extremely nice people, spacious apartment with everything you could possibly need, extremely comfortable bed, walking distance to the beach, and a cute little patio to enjoy the weather! I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I was ever able to travel to Oahu again!

Cute place - better than the photos.

The house is owned by a great elderly couple - who live in the front and are very helpful for anything you need but also respectful of your privacy.

It's located next to Safeway (groceries), few blocks from the beach and maybe 2 miles from major eateries (WholeFoods, Lanikai Juice, Subway, Mexican/Indian/Thai) and other stores (Longs, beachwear, art stores etc). We used our car to explore around. Honolulu is 20-30 minutes by car, do stop at the Nuuanu Pali Lookout on your way to experience howling winds like you never thought possible ..

The house is super-stocked - comes with toiletries, condiments, jams, coffee, different types of tea, 100s of books and what not. The backyard is cozy - good for us to have with a kid. The place is even better than the pics - we highly recommend it (provided you've a car).

Also, when in Oahu do go to the Waimanlo beach. Cobalt-green waters, azure blue skies, ivory white sands - and practically empty. Skip the Waimanlo beach parking lot, park by the road anyplace and just walk to the sands - it's a sight you won't forget.

We are very close to Kailua Beach, Oahu, within walking distance. Shopping, Restaurants are nearby, a drive to Honolulu and Waikiki takes about 35 minutes. The famous North Shore with the Polynesian Cultural Center is about an hour drive. The map provided is wrong. We are in Kailua, Oahu, not in Kona.
