About Lori Kays
We are a semi-retired couple and have lived most of our lives in PEI. After selling our very busy cafe in early 2017, we are now taking some time to ourselves. We love to travel both to see our children and grandchildren in other provinces in Canada and also adventure tour to other parts of the world. However, there is no where else we would rather be than on the Island in the summer. We both love the beach, the many outdoor cafes and events in the city , and the opportunity to meet people from all over the world through our vacation rental business.
Lori Kays purchased this Apartment in 1995
Why Lori Kays chose Queens Square
This property is in one of the nicest, most accessible areas of Charlottetown. I love that it is across the street from the water, so there are always fresh salt water breezes. You can walk out your door and follow the path to Victoria Park, or follow the boardwalk to the marina/yacht club area or walk uptown to all of the shops, theatre and restaurants that you could ever imagine. Everything is so close but you feel like you are away from the noise and traffic of the city.

Nice, clean and complete place to have a perfect stay
This accommodation get full marks with bonus points. Located on the edge of Victoria Park and its boardwalk, it is only a five minute pleasurable walk to the core of historical Charlottetown, but you will want to take more time to enjoy the colourful and magnificent architecture of an early age. Your stroll may take you along the harbour with its yacht club and waterfront attractions. The apartment is all and more. It is spacious and very well-equipped with all the amenities. Check-in was extremely smooth. Hosts, Lori and Doug, are very people friendly. This property is located is a prestigious area with little or no traffic. I highly recommend this rental. I will be ready to stay here again on my next visit to PEI/Charlottetown! Thank you for accepting me in to your home.
A delight - in itself and as a base from which to explore
Wondered when opting for this property that it had not had any reviews - although the same owners had another with similar title which had very favourable reviews.
Be assured, a stay at this rental property is a positive experience in itself, and one that adds value to other benefits of staying in Charlottetown, P.E.I. Being without a car, nor wishing to hire one, Lori and Doug kindly offered to pick up at the airport and then give a quick tour of Charlottetown on the way to the house, and with all the warmth and confidence of a couple of local residents, who had also had a local business, they pointed out the best places to enjoy food and drink along the way. [Did not take notes but think tried most - including the Saturday market at Belvedere: would recommend walking there via the Confederation Trail.)
This is located on a quiet residential street and has lovely views of Charlottetown Harbour and only three blocks away from the downtown area; in the other direction it is a stone's throw from Beaconsfield House and the walk around Victoria Park to the Brighton Lighthouse. The one-bedroom apartment is on the middle (first) floor, has been recently renovated and is tastefully done with lots of nice touches to prompt thoughts about one’s own place. The small washer and dryer in the bathroom served well as mid-holiday laundry catch-up. It is a self-catering but before getting in those provisions be delighted to discover a refrigerator well stocked with bottled water, juice, Fairmount bagels from Montréal, butter cups, and a little jar of local jam. Coffee and assorted teas were also available in a kitchen cupboard.
Lori and Doug are exceptional hosts who know how to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
Thanks Peter for staying with us! I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and were able to take the opportunity to see Charlottetown.
We welcome you back anytime and it was a pleasure to host you !
