We really loved the Cabin it had all we really needed. Small and comfortable which had us always close by. The back porch with the stream was so very relaxing even on the cool mornings. And we loved sitting with a fire in the fire pit. We were able to travel to Murphy, Bryson City, Cherokee and Maggie Valley. A couple of down things were the location of the cabin as far as the highway and looking at the motel off the front porch. And so sad not to find a restaurant in Andrews. But we loved being there and we did relax
The cabin itself was very nice, but.......
In the morning the sun was bearing down on the bed through the high window on the east and in the afternoon the sun was bearing down on the couch and kitchen table through the high window on the west. There needs to be a automated shade. There was no river, only a small shallow stream. The trout picture had to be staged. The only trout in that stream were fingerlings. The location of the cabin was poor. It is situated about 300 yards from a busy 4-lane highway, 200 yards from a Quality Inn and next to a small junkyard. I feel like it was misrepresented on the pictures. I would have received the same amenities for a lot less money at the adjacent Quality Inn.
Nice little cabin getaway.
I liked staying in this cabin over the weekend. The river and back porch are a fantastic place to hang out and relax. Only downside is the surrounding poperties are a little sketchy. Broken down vehicles and large billboard signs are in the veiw of the front yard and the mountain views the cabin has. The back of the place was very relaxing though and the cabin itself was cozy. Be prepared to bring everything you need. Cabin is stocked with just the bare necessities! I would stay here again. Good price for what you get.
Thanks for your feedback. Hope you stay again.
Nice little cabin once you get past surrounding area as you approach.
We were not prepared for the first impression as we arrived. You drive past a hotel and a store, then through what seems to be a construction site or materials storage yard to get to the cabin...and that's the view off the front porch. That said, once you get past that, it's a nice little cabin, well appointed, with awesome access to the valley river right off the back porch. Once some trees are planted and grow around the front of the cabin it will make a big difference. The farm across the river from the cabin is very scenic. We were there in late December. I would return in spring or summer to enjoy more of the porch, patio and river.
Beautiful Cozy Getaway
We enjoyed our peaceful weekend getaway!
Oversized shower with dual heads was a nice treat.
Would rate a 5 if the front of cabin offered more privacy/landscaping to enjoy the front porch rocking chairs.
Cabin was very beautiful and clean
Very easy access to Valley River. Caught 3 brim from rock wall. Not secluded but was close to the town of Andrews. Owners are trying to plant a hedge row to make the property feel more secluded.
Would definitely consider staying at this property again in the future.
