This 3 bedroom, 1 bath, upstairs duplex unit is bright and sunny, full of Alaskan touches, and comes fully equipped for your stay. Located on a family-friendly culdesac with off-street parking for 2 vehicles right out front, and vehicle plug-ins for winter. Within easy walking distance of Fred Meyer's grocery store and WalMart, and public transportation, and only a short drive from all the hospitals in town, and JBER military base. Families with younger children will appreciate that with a quick walk they can reach a brand new children's playground/park that also hosts one of the local farmer's markets from late May to September, as well as a small municipal library branch. The property is also right down the road from a major shopping and entertainment area, and easy access in and out of town on the Glenn Highway. The unit has a large entry with lots of room to store bicycles, skis, or other equipment. The living room has plenty of seating with a leather couch that has reclining ends, and two other chairs that includes one rocker/recliner chair, and a variety of comfy throw blankets so you can get cozy. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishes and glassware, including wine glasses and beer steins, cookware, and a variety of small appliances (such as microwave, blender, Keurig coffee maker, air popcorn popper, etc.) We also have some kid-friendly dishes so you don't have to worry about your little ones breaking something. One bedroom has a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin bed on top. This room also has a small kid-sized table with a chalkboard top, and we leave a few art supplies at the ready to help them feel at home and keep them entertained. The two other bedrooms come with queen beds, and one bedroom has a desk, office chair, and wifi-enabled printer. If you're staying for a while, you'll appreciate the closet organizers in the two larger bedrooms. With a washer and dryer in the unit (and some complimentary detergent), you never have to worry about doing the sniff test on your vacation clothes. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the private balcony, or let the kids have some fresh air while they draw on the chalkboard outside. We provide satellite TV and wifi. There is also with a DVD player and there are RedBox DVD rental kiosks very close by. We also keep some board games, and playing cards in the unit if you want to stay in for a night. For short-term stays we provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and, of course, towels. We want you to feel relaxed if you arrive late at night, or your flight gets delayed, so as a courtesy we provide some basic breakfast items, snacks, and coffee pods and cream, so you don't have to worry about rushing out first thing in the morning. We can provide an air mattress for extra guests.
Come experience Alaskan hospitality. We hope you'll think of it as your home away from home when you're traveling to Anchorage. Owners are on-site to help when you need it, but will leave you to your adventures when you don't.
Price is negotiable for traveling nurses and other professionals looking for moderate lengths of stay.
