Overview

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

One of the Cabot Trail's most spectacular ocean views is yours at Wreck Cove on the east coast of Cape Breton Island. Comb the beach for surf treasures. Watch the gannets dive while you sit at your breakfast table and enjoy the ocean sunrise, or marvel as the coral afterglow spreads across the water at sunset. There are 100 acres of ocean front and mountain wilderness to explore from our private natural hiking trails, right at your door step, very season of the year. We also invite you to swim in the spring-fed pond and, in season, enjoy the produce and berries from the vegetable and flower gardens.

A lovely getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with our two little girls in August. Jitka's property is beautiful, and our daughters adored it. They loved to climb on the rocks and beachcomb at the pebble beach, which is a short walk across the street. We enjoyed exploring Cape Breton Highlands National Park, which is an incredibly gorgeous 30 min drive north along the Cabot Trail. The apartment is nicely furnished with everything you could need; we loved having an ocean view from the dining table and hearing the waves crash at night. Thank you Jitka for a lovely introduction to the beauty of Cape Breton, and a rejuvenating getaway!

Nice cottage in the woods along Cabot Trail

  • 5 of 5

We thought the setting was lovely and the apartment was clean and cute. The owner was available and accommodating and encouraged us to take advantage of walking the property. It was located in a good place along Cabot Trail that allowed us to visit places all over Cape Breton.

great ocean view from private balcony.

wi-fi and cell phone signal difficult to receive. If that's important to you, this is not a place for you. Rocky beach across the street is a little tricky to walk on but makes for beautiful pictures. Jitka is a gratious host and provided interesting tourist information.

quiet and lovely

  • 5 of 5

Place was fairly close to Cape Breton Nat. Park and some local restaurants. View of the ocean, and a short walk across the street to a lovely private rocky beach. Host was responsive, helpful, and lovely. Just off the Cabot Trail on the Eastern side of N.S. Would be great for small family, or couple. It felt like coming home each evening.
