About Emelie & Owen Lima
We are a South African-Swedish couple who love travelling and visiting new places (especially hot and sunny ones). In 2005 we somehow found ourselves living in not-so-sunny, but spectacularly beautiful Scotland, where the idea of combining our passion for property and travel started to materialise. In 2012 we finally took the plunge, bought our first investment flat and spent several months giving it a complete makeover. In 2015 we relocated to Cape Town, South Africa (permanently beautiful weather!), and we now have a holiday let here as well, so if you ever decide to visit Cape Town, do get in touch :-)
Emelie & Owen Lima purchased this Apartment in 2012
Why Emelie & Owen Lima chose Old Town
Call us biased, but we think this is the PERFECT location to explore Edinburgh (if in doubt, have a look at the list of what's available within 10 minutes' walking distance!).
What makes this Apartment unique
We love the view from the roof and the character of the flat, with its high ceilings, bay windows and even an old-fashioned clothes pulley. The layout is also really great and works well for three or four guests, since all rooms are accessed from the hallway, so there's no walking through each other's rooms to get to the bathroom or kitchen.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
We loved the location! Flat was very clean. Owners were very accommodating.
COZY CITY CENTER APARTMENT
Compact, cozy, clean, re-done, modern, well furnished, fully stocked, apartment with great amenities in a quiet area within walking distance of city center and major tourist attractions. Extremely attentive manager resolved minor issues immediately and effectively. Only negative is 3rd floor location and no elevator/lift.
It was great pleasure to stay in this apartment.
The property was everything that we needed, in a great location. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond with any queries I had.
Three night stay Highland show and Grassmarket
The apartment was as described and catered for our group of 4 perfectly. Clean and comfortable. I had the pleasure of the pull out sofa bed which was better than expected but rather low, would suit young ones or children perfectly. Main bedroom was beautiful and spacious with nice high ceilings all round. Location was fine for us short walk to grassmarket bars and eatery’s. Immediate area and views might be off putting to some but didn’t worry us. All in all great place to stay and reasonably priced.
This sweet apartment is in a great location, within walking distance to all the hot spots! We stayed 2 nights, was great to have a kitchen and washing machine after staying in hotels for a week. The bed was comfortable , the bathroom/shower were very good. Loved the view of the castle from the terrace, especially at night! We had absolutely no issues with the apartment close to the "triangle"...aka strip clubs. Check-in with Linda was a breeze, and great communication with Emelie.
