Perfect lake house
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house with a spectacular view!! The house is well taken care of and the screened in porch is amazing!
Thank you! We look forward to having you stay at the house again soon. :)
We had such an awesome time at the Cove. It is tucked away from the other houses so no super close neighbors. It’s not a fancy place at all. It’s cute, simple, small and clean. I can’t say enough about the lake view. Even though there are scattered docks and houses all around the lake edge it didn’t have a cluttered view. Since it was so cold on our trip, we just enjoyed looking at the lake and staying cozy warm. The kitchen had everything for me, but I’m not a cook. Our main meals were thoroughly enjoyed at Chili’s Bar & Grill in Camden. The beds were totally comfortable. The shower had awesome water pressure. This was my first house lake rental and I definitely will do it again. If I could change anything, it would be the no pet rule. Still made wonderful memories. Thank you Brad Teaver for having such a fantastic place!
Great Place to Hide From Irma!
Let me start by saying that we were not planning a vacation. Our family had to evacuate from our home in Savannah due to Hurricane Irma. Every hotel within a 4 hour drive was booked and what family of 6 wants to be stuck in a little hotel room for 5 days? Not us!
Brad got back to me immediately after I contacted him and stayed in contact with me once I expressed interest in his cabin. He was a great host. He was always quick to respond with any of my questions and there were many as my head was in 10 different places leading up to the storm.
We checked in (easy) late Friday night and had 2 lovely days on the lake before the storm hit. We lost power for a couple of hours but we really didn't notice. The kids fished during the breaks in weather and my husband and I sat on the screened in porch and watched the day go by from our comfy porch chairs. We brought a generator just in case but didn't even use it.
The cabin itself is cute. There's not a ton of room when you're squeezing 6 people into 750 sq ft. but the yard and lake are expansive. We never felt cramped because we spent so much time outside. Brad provides a few lakehouse toys like a small boat, rods, and a paddle board. We put the boat in the water and tied it to the dock and let the kids take turns paddling around the cove. It's quiet and peaceful; sitting by the campfire was my favorite part.
Everyone had a great time. Like I said, we weren't intentionally on a vacation but Brad's cabin gave us a great opportunity to have an unplanned hurrication.
Everything was perfect!
