When you stay at SomerStorme, you’re only minutes away from many of Bermuda’s most well known attractions. You’ll be close to one of the world’s oldest aquariums, the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, where you can learn more about our unique island ecosystem. The facility showcases over 200 species of fish, and over 300 birds, reptiles and mammals.
If you enjoy nature trails, you’ll love how close Spittal Pond is. Take a walk to Spittal Pond Nature Reserve and Bird Sanctuary. Birdwatchers should bring their binoculars! Enjoy the amazing views of the ocean from the numerous vantage points throughout the park.
If you feel like cooling off, take a stroll down to the Harrington Sound dock for a quick afternoon swim. Want that pink sand in between your toes? Head to John Smiths Beach, a short drive away.
Within minutes of SomerStorme you'll find attractions such as Tom Moore's Jungle, Crystal and Fantasy Caves, Blue Hole Park, Coney Island, the historic town of St. George's, and Castle Harbor (where you can rent a boat). Also close by is Hamilton, the capital, known locally as "Town". Head west for more beaches and to visit the National Museum of Bermuda in the Royal Naval Dockyard. There's so much to see and do in Bermuda, and SomerStorme's proximity to it all makes for an ideal place to call home.
To get around Bermuda, you can rent a mini-electric car which can be charged at the house. This is the most reliable, safest form of transportation. The cars fit two people however do not have room for luggage. Alternatively, 50cc scooters are also available, or you can catch the bus or hire a taxi.
From SomerStorme you can get to John Smith's Beach in 5 minutes, the historic town of St. George’s in 20 minutes, Crystal Caves in 15 minutes, and Hamilton in 15 minutes.
