Enjoy a relaxing and cozy cabin getaway in the woods within one mile of the Lake Rabun Boat Ramp, beach, and Campground. Lake Rabun is one of the most beautiful lakes in Georgia. Bring your small boat, kayak, or SUP! Plenty of hiking is very nearby! There is one bedroom and bath on the main level with a queen size bed, the Master bedroom is down 6 steps with a comfy queen bed and its private bathroom and shower, the third room is an upstairs loft and sleeps two in a pull out trundle bed. Its great fun for kids or kids-at-heart! Enjoy a comfortable living room with a flat screen TV, Wifi, plenty of DVD movies, and wood burning fireplace for the colder months, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room for 6, and a large screened porch, together with a grill and game table (pool and ping pong). Relax with the family on the large front deck or make a bonfire and roast marshmallows down in the fire pit. Enjoy additional friends and family time while hiking to nearby waterfalls, trails, swimming, or boating in gorgeous Lake Rabun, or visiting nearby Tallulah Gorge with its many waterfalls. A visit to the nearby town of Clayton, pottery and art shops, white water rafting, fishing, kayaking, ziplining, horseback riding, and several local wineries are also on the list of the many interesting things to see and do. I truly believe you'll enjoy this cozy cabin in the woods!

About Monica McCloy
Hello! Carl and I have been married for over 30 years and currently live in Atlanta, GA. We have two awesome daughters and are still waiting on our first grandchild. We enjoy gardening, traveling, boating, the arts, and cute homes.
Monica McCloy purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Monica McCloy chose Lakemont
We fell in love with Lake Rabun and the north Georgia mountain area. Camping has always been a past time we enjoyed and owning a cozy rustic cabin seemed like the next step. Plus, the boat ramp is just a mile away. In just minutes we can be zooming through the beautiful lake in the boat.
What makes this Cabin unique
Close to Lake Rabun, Lake Burton, and Lake Seed, Tallulah Gorge, Clayton, waterfalls, and hiking trails.

Quiet, relaxing, clean getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. It was fully equipped down to great family friendly DVDs, handmade soaps, and plenty of towels/linens. The beds were comfortable. We were off the main road so it was very quiet. The breeze sitting on the screened porch as well as deck were delightful. Quick drive to the lake's beach which the boys enjoyed immensely.
What a lovely review! You all were great guests! We're so happy to hear you and your family loved your stay! We hope you'll choose our cabin again for a future trip to the Lake Rabun area.
So peaceful and fully stocked!!
My family of six really enjoyed our stay! It’s close to waterfalls, great hikes, and Lake Rabun! Only negative is a really winding 15-20 drive in and out to main road. Worth the drive, though!
Feel free to bring your kayaks or canoes to enjoy the lake, which can be launched from the Lake Rabun boat ramp across from the campground.
