Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We were 3 families (10 people) ranging in age from 11-70 looking for a place we could all stay together for a week of family fun. Wanting to be away from the South Lake Tahoe hustle and bustle, we found this gem in Tahoma a perfect fit for our needs. The private dock on the water was wonderful to launch kayaks and paddle boards (rented from West Shore Sports just down the road) and we loved heading up to the second tier of the dock at night to take in the sunsets with a bottle of wine.

The home is well loved and a little bit dated, but has all the amenities of a fully functional home. We cooked most of our meals there and found the kitchen to have all the necessary cooking tools. Added bonus, the long dining table fit our entire family and the view out the window was stunning! The 6 bedrooms (2 downstairs, 4 upstairs) provided our group just the right amount of comfortable space, and with 3 full bathrooms we never had issues there either.

The caretakers were readily available by text or phone but we never needed to contact them after we were settled. The home on “Quiet Walk” is just that…a secluded little gem on the water of Lake Tahoe….trails to walk and bike right from the front door. It’s located equidistant from Emerald Bay and Tahoe City (15 minutes to each), so it was a perfect location for the activities we had planned (hiked Eagle Fall loop, went tubbing down the Truckee River). We did most of our grocery shopping in South Lake Tahoe prior to arrival but there is a small market (pricy) for items you may have missed.

We would not hesitate to stay here again!
