Charming

  • 4 of 5

This cute little casita is, as claimed, charming. Nice living area, though I never used it. Spacious bedroom with a terrific, comfortable, terrace off. With its windows, this bedroom has the benefit of good room air flow, the bed was very comfortable, and the terrace is lovely and permeated with the smell of rosemary. The negatives are minor. Yes, as another poster noted, the kitchen is small, so if you are a couple whose bonding habits include cooking together, this wouldn't be the place for you. But since Ajijic is loaded with great, reasonably priced, restaurants, all within walking distance, why bother to cook at all except, maybe, breakfast, and the kitchen is more than adequate for that. The other is the location of the bathroom downstairs, while the bedroom is upstairs. The stairs are sturdy, have a handrail, and are not overly steep. Heavy drinkers, those whose nightly trips to the bathroom number more than two and anyone who struggles with stairs in general might want to take this into account, but overall, the location of the bedroom/bathroom is a minor inconvenience. And let me add, the location of this little haven is nearly perfect, 3 blks to the plaza, 3 blks to the Malecon. And I can't fail to add that Delores, who comes in twice a week to clean, is very good at her work, will go out of her way to be helpful, and is cheerful and honest.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a month in this cute little apartment. It is located on a quiet street just about a 5 minute walk to the main plaza and about 10 minutes to the malecon. Bus stops are very convenient. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped. I really enjoyed the upstairs covered balcony. The only downside is that the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom down.

Ajijic Casita Stay

  • 5 of 5

The casita was quiet and tidy and close to restaurants, shopping. Plenty of kitchen stuff for doing your own cooking. A good place to relax and not do much of anything.

Our stay in wonderful Ajijic!!!!

  • 4 of 5

This casita is ideal, it's like a small and cosy home away from home. In the village close to everything. It has a small kitchen but functional, but who needs to cook when there are such great restaurants at very reasonable costs. We were there for two months and took a side trip to San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato for a week. It was nice to come back to "our home" after having a faboulas time.

I would recommend this casita to my friends in a heart beat!!
