About The Owner

Laura and David fell in love with the Georgian House on their return from leading a care free existence in Australia for 2 years. They have been loving restoring the exterior of the house using traditional methods, whilst working full time - Laura is a Consultant in Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics and David does high flying things in the IT world- plus bringing up their twins Evie & grace and now little Alfie.

They are delighted to welcome guests to come and enjoy an exclusive and dedicated part of this magnificent house - and - love sharing their knowledge of all things London regardless of subject !!. Laura is a self confessed London addict and says - 'once you have London in your soul -you can never give it up ! - there is no greater a city !'

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2005

Outstanding Hidden Gem! Thanks Laura and David! (Note: map location needs slight revision)

Can't say enough wonderful things about our recent stay in Laura and David's lovely flat! Tucked behind their gorgeous, classic, historic Georgian home and garden was the most lovely light-filled, spacious (especially for London!), two story flat, perfect for our family gathering of three. We have visited London on numerous occasions but this visit was extra special. Our oldest daughter and her husband were expecting our very first grandchild and nephew! We wanted a location near their flat so we could visit and help out as often as possible but also to become acquainted with their new neighborhood between Kensal Rise and Queens Park. This flat was an easy 10 minute walk out and up the back way through a quiet, lovely neighborhood. But for a very quick trip to central London, the Kensal Green tube and bus stop are just a short walk as well. I used Uber more often on this trip to get to and from the hospital quickly. The drivers frequent this area and I never had more than a 5 minute wait for a car. Everything we could possibly need was provided in the flat. I was warmly welcomed and oriented upon my arrival by Sophia, Laura and David's housekeeper. As you will see from the amenities list, this is an exceptionally well provisioned residence, including lovely welcome basket! But the items we appreciated most were the Tube passes and a local cell phone ready for use that could be easily topped up by credit card for additional time along with a drawer full of various adaptors in the gorgeous antique secretary desk upstairs for those who left home without. Excellent wifi! The bedroom was very cozy and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the large soaking tub with stand-up shower. Our young adult daughter, who had flown in to join us, had the privacy and comfort she needed sleeping on the large couch downstairs with her own half bath and TV. I had arrived a week and a half before the rest of the family to be there for the birth and, as a woman traveling alone, greatly appreciated the security of the flat. Located behind the main house and a high wall that surrounds the entire property, I entered through a locked side entrance on a quiet residential street into a well lit garage and courtyard, then had another key to our flat. For local fun we highly recommend the Whippet Inn, Chamberlayne Pub, Sacro Cuore for pizza, Ostuni Italian in Queens Park, brunch (make reservations!) at the Parlour, and Jasmin at Cutting Crew for hair needs!

Map Location is Wrong

I haven't stayed here but through my research for my parents (who need a place right on Queen's Park, as per the map), the actual location of this apartment is actually near Kensal Green tube, not on the east side of the park. Just one to be aware of.

Very elegant and a delightful place to stay in London

This is a seriously beautiful apartment and very convenient location in London. We just loved it and can't recommend it highly enough. Bright and airy thanks to high ceilings upstairs, compact downstairs and tastefully furnished. Kensal green tube station a short walk away, on the Bakerloo line, the most convenient for so many top London attractions. Thanks Laura for providing such a lovely place to stay.

Beautiful house and easy access to central London!

Our stay was perfect! We arrived late, which was no issue. The house is about a 5 minute walk from the Bakerloo line (in zone 2) allowing you easy access to central London. The decor was beautiful, the welcome basket was the perfect treat after a long day of traveling and the apartment was very clean. Thank you for opening up your home to us!

Lovely, clean, secure, and perfectly equipped

My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights- and I would love to return with my husband. The apartment is tastefully furnished, quiet and very comfortable. Separate, private entrance. We could not have been happier! (The bed is very comfortable.) One teeny, tiny suggestion to the owners would be to add a reading light near sofa downstairs - if possible. The kitchenette is perfect and includes a dishwasher and washing machine. Convenient to buses and the Underground so no need to rent a car! I found the owners very responsive to my questions ahead of time - I suggest asking them for a suggestion for transportation from LHR to the apartment because taxi prices vary quite a bit. e.g. Black Cab taxi is very expensive- about $75 , almost twice the price of other taxis. (Live and learn!) A great experience all around.
