About Vacasa, FL - Florida Keys Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers. Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team. Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Not what it is represented to be.
The good: #408 right at the elevator, convenient. Ten steps to the laundry room which could be good except that one of the two washing machines broke the day we arrived and was not repaired or replaced for the month we were there. There was no evidence of a building manager or any contact information. Good location; shopping center a mile away with a Winn-Dixie, US Post Office, bank, CVS ,etc. Very nice restaurant, close. Great ocean view from the balcony of the unit. Lots of eateries, points of interest, etc., reasonably close.<br />
The bad: Broken, not replaced towel rack in bathroom, two beds lamps in bedroom but only one had a bulb. Two fixture floor lamp in living room but only one had a bulb. Bulbs in living room lamps very low wattage. Ceiling fixture over dining table not there, bare wires and owner refused to replace it. Two can openers - one broken and could not be used, the other was 1940s vintage and barely useable. Mattress was old, dirty, stained and seemed to be dragged out of a dumpster. Bed linens were thin enough to read through. Many of the kitchen appliances you list on your website were nonexistent. Front door lock is so old and worn you have to jiggle, twist, push and pull to lock the door. There is a drip-pan under the garbage disposal for an obvious leak that apparently the owner is too, ahem, frugal to fix. Two elevators, only one is working. Probably a result of Hurricane Irma, so this is only an observation. You need to actually, thoroughly inspect properties. And find owners who are not so tight-fisted.
We are sorry to see this guest was not happier with their visit. The wires over the dining room table have been fixed. The on-site building management has been very busy with extensive repairs, but we will call their attention to the broken washing machine. Thank you!
