About Barb K

I moved to Colorado close to 20 years ago and fell in love with the mountains, fresh air and non-stop sunshine. I love nature, being outside and active, and spending time with family, friends and my pup. Skiing, Hiking and SCUBA are some of my favorite activities, but deep down I'm a travel junkie. My most favorite trip ever was trekking to the endangered mountain Gorillas in Uganda. The Galapagos is pretty amazing as well.

Why Barb K chose Louisville

When I first saw this house I fell in love with it's history and location. I had the good fortune of meeting Stella, the previous owner of the home. She and her husband moved in to the original miners cabin in 1952 making this the family home of 65 years. Over the years they raised 4 children here and expanded the original cabin.

Stella's love and positive energy still permeates every inch of the house. I think you'll feel it too.

What makes this guest house unique

Location, Location, Location! I love that it's just steps to all that Old Town has to offer, dinner, drinks, coffee shops, parks, live music and the farmers market. Miles and miles of trails are right off the front porch. Easy access to Boulder, Denver and the Rocky Mountains.

As your hostess I'd be thrilled to share some of my favorite spots with you.

Great little duplex in heart of downtown Lousville

Sweet home in downtown Louisville close to everything!

Loved our three week stay in Louisville, Colorado. Property very clean and nicely appointed with a nice porch and in walking distance of everything wonderful happening in Louisville. The smaller refrigerator was a bit of a challenge for our longer stay, but figured it out. The owner, Barb, was perfectly accommodating. Will definitely stay again!

Clean, charming little space in an awesome location!

My husband, myself and our three pets had the pleasure of staying in this space for just over a month while buying a home. Barb, the owner of the property (and she’ll also be your neighbor), was so wonderful throughout our stay - very responsive, sweet and helpful. This little apartment has everything you need to stay comfortably. The location can’t be beat! While the road in front of the property can be quite busy, the apartment itself remains suprisingly peaceful. There are railroad tracks not far away, but honestly, after a few days we hardly even noticed the train going by. Plus, with all the conveniences of downtown Louisville just a block or two away, you can’t NOT love this home away from home! You will be just a short walk to some great restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, and even a lovely city park!

Thanks Barb, for helping us out when we needed it most! I will always recommend your place to anyone who’s asking!
