The home is very nice, clean, and it's not too far from bourbon street and the French quarters. Also, the owner was very accommodating with our needs and requests.
We have just returned from the best few days in New Orleans and staying at this fabulous home in Marigny! Everything was easy with this stay mainly thanks to how responsive and accommodating Mary and her son Ryan are.
The place itself has plenty of room as is very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Lots of extras too in the fridge and cupboards which was such a nice touch!
The location was perfect for us a short walk to St Roch market - great choices for breakfast/brunch, close to the street car which we used few times when we wanted to go beyond the French Quarter. It's a very manageable walk into the French Quarter though so most of the time we did this.
We loved this place and New Orleans so will definitely be back!
Your kind words are so sincerely appreciated as we try very hard to ensure our guests a comfortable stay in our city! Thank you!! It was a privilege to host your visit. Means more than we can say. Hope you will come back again soon and be our guests once again!
New Orleans delightful stay
Very good. If we come back for Jazz Fest next year we would stay here again. Only one suggestion - they need to put a black out material on master bedroom window. What is there is pretty but not too effective at night
Very nice very clean property with a great relaxing ambience with the fenced backyard
Very nice very clean property with a great relaxing ambience with the fenced backyard! Short distance to the streetcar! There is a venue next-door that seems like they have something going on every night of the week sometimes you can get tickets for the event or show can get a little loud but nothing too unruly!!A delicious restaurant with bar two blocks away! I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Mary but I did have the pleasure of meeting her son Ryan very nice friendly personable person !! Everything was nicely stocked in the refrigerator and an abundance of dishes etc. !!Will definitely recommend this place thank you Mary and Ryan my family enjoyed their stay!!!
Thank you so very much for your kind words. SO appreciated as we try very hard to ensure our guests a comfortable stay! Do come back soon!
Great Place to Stay!!!
This two bedroom apartment was great! True to New Orleans style and conveniently located. The neighborhood has lots to offer with unique shops and restaurants and only a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter. The owners made us feel at home from greeting us upon arrival, familiarizing us with the apartment and neighborhood, and providing complimentary drinks and snacks. Our next trip back to New Orleans will include staying here again. Thank you!!!!
Fabulous Rental with Loads of Local Flavor and Color!!
We were two couples that came down for a few days at the beginning of Mardi Gras for a rest from the snow. We picked this neighborhood for its walkability, you could also take the streetcar or uber everywhere from here to all the hot spots/tourist attractions very easily. It is a old corner grocery store so the living/kitchen space was large and wonderfully appointed. It has 2 bedrooms, washer/dryer and the best stocked kitchen I have seen in a long time from food to beverages, kitchen appointments and artwork. There was the added bonus a great secluded patio where we spent a lovely evening one night when it was warm enough outside to sit. A added benefit was a co-op across street and a wonderful food court a block away. There was a new grocery store that just opened for all the rest of what we needed a few blocks away.
We loved the plants around the building and patio and the closeness to the French Quarter. We saw two local parades, tit' Rex and Chewbacchus..both really worth seeing, one is the tiny float parade and the other was a sifi/alien/zombie combo krew with the best bunch of Princess Leia's I'd ever seen among many other great floats. The evening we arrived there was a band practicing right down the street but the neighbourhood was not crazy with noise and we got our beauty sleep.
I have stayed in many a air b and b and this one stands out for many of the aforementioned reasons, I highly recommend the space and wish I could return again to N. Orleans to stay there as it was fun, practical. peaceful and yet edgy all at the same time.
Thanks ever so much for your kind review! Your words mean more than we can say since we try very hard to ensure our guests a comfortable stay in our wonderful, eclectic and neighborhood! Hope you come again soon!
