New Fishing Cabins W/Satellite TV

Bedrooms 2
Property type cabin

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Come to northern Minnesota. Sit on the deck of our clean, new cabin. Listen to the cry of the loons, Minnesota’s state bird. Watch an eagle grab a fish from the blue waters.

Thielen's Rainbow Bay Resort is a small, quiet, fishing resort situated in Cass County approximately 3 hours northwest of the Twin Cities.

We have a comfortable, modern cabin on Little Boy Lake, one of Minnesota’s best walleye lakes. Fishing boats with motors, depth finders, and pedestal seats are available for rent. Daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal rental rates allow renters to have accommodations that fit their vacation needs. Cabin is equipped with complete kitchen, satellite television, and bathroom has a shower. It is air conditioned and is reserved as non-smoking.

The small town of Longville is conveniently located just 3 miles away for groceries, gas, bait, restaurants, churches, etc. It’s famous for its weekly turtle races. Other towns nearby include Hackensack, and Walker.

Fish for Walleyes, Northerns, Muskies, Large or Small mouth Bass. There are plenty of pan fish if that is your fare. Guide service for our lake or nearby lakes is available, as needed.

We finished our rebuilding program! The cabin was completely rebuilt during the fall of 2008. It has two bedrooms and a loft with a queen sized bed and four twin beds. Other smaller cabins are available.

We discount our rates in May and September by 20% in an attempt to lure more customers during those quiet times. We offer customers who stay for two weeks a third week at half the regular season price.

We can't guarantee the weather, and fishing success is more or less up to the individual. But we can guarantee a clean comfortable place to enjoy the great outdoors.

Sorry, no pets or jet skis are allowed.

Reservations: We require a $150 deposit to hold your weekly reservation. If you need to cancel, we will refund all but $50 administrative fee if we can fill your vacancy.

If you need additional space, contact us for information.

A Family Tradition

  • 5 of 5

Our Grandfather had spent his vacations every year for 48 years at Little Boy. We decided to return to Little Boy in 2012 and rediscover the magic of this beautiful lake. We chosen Thielen's resort and hoped that we had chosen wisely. It turned out we did. The cabin we stayed in was very nice, clean and incredibly well furnished. The cabin had all of the conveniences of home except a dishwasher. The kitchen was fully equipped with dishes, pots, and pans, and really any utensil you might need. Once again it was like being at home. The cabin had a beautiful view of the lake from the kitchen window and the picture window in the living room, very scenic. Both the grounds and the cabins are very well maintained. We have also rented a boat each year we have gone, and found the boat also to have everything we needed. We had such a good time in 2012 that we returned in 2013, with the exact same results, and have already reserved a cabin for this year. Pete and Jane run a first class, friendly, operation that will live up to your expectation or above.

Cabins on Little Boy Lake

  • 5 of 5

Happy to say I've been at all three cabins. This past July we had family from Ohio, Nevada, and of course Minnestoa all meet up at Jan and Pete's. Hate to give a 5-star review because now everyone will want to come there and it wil be hard for me to get a reservation. But Jan and Pete always come through with a wonderful time up north. All the cabins are nice and quite comfortable and always kept their best. I don't mind coming back when I can, it's like having a family with a cabin by the lake. Always a pleasure with Jan and Pete around. Little Boy Lake is quite nice for fishing and the turtle racing is lots of fun.

Very Relaxing Place!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Little Boy Lake, and won't be our last! The owners Pete and Jan are a wonderful couple who made our visit so enjoyable. Our boys loved fishing right off the dock and they caught plenty of fish to keep them busy. We stayed in cabin #2 it was wonderful, clean and more than we could have asked for. We hope to be back again for another relaxing trip!

We stayed for a week in J...

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week in July 2008.

The cabin was well appointed and the owners did everything possible to insure that our stay was enjoyable.

The boat was completely equipped and well maintained.

You will not be sorry to spend some time in these cabins.

Any questions, feel free to give us a call.
