We loved our stay in this chalet. The kitchen had everything we needed to fix perfect meals. The views from the screened balconies were perfect, looking into the woods. The screened balconies kept insects out so we ate breakfast every morning listening to the birds in the early mornings while we felt the mountain breeze. The fireplace made it warm and cozy on the cold nights. The hot tub was perfect to unwind after a day or night of site seeing and catching shows. My husband and I both agree that the master bed was the most comfortable bed away from home that we've slept in. I think it was a tempurpedic mattress and it made for some of the most restful sleep. I highly recommend staying here. We plan to go back for years to come. Thank you!!!!

Wonderful owner and awesome vacation
Brigitte grew up in Germany, and came to Texas in her twenties got married and had 3 children, During that time managed a travel agency and after a few years became a Realtor. Years later moved to Colorado Springs due to the youngest daughter terrible allergies and fell in love with the mountains, native art and culture.
Rich was born and raised in Denver, he has 2 children and 5 Grandchildren. He works in the Graphic Arts field and loves to golf, ski and biking. He is a great handyman and we enjoyed several DIY home projects.
Together we have 9 grand children and one on the way!
We love to hike or snowshoe many different areas and discover nature, always wished we had a log cabin. In 2003 we were transferred to Florida, which ended our quest to eventually own a cabin in the Mountains. Now our home is in Pensacola, FL to be closer to my youngest daughter and Granddaughter.
We love to travel around North Carolina, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Caribbean Island, went west to Santa Fe, Phoenix, Santa Barbara, Utah etc. loved it all and were always looking to find a vacation type home until we found Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
We both enjoy hiking, discovering new places to eat and have fun. This area is just perfect for us.
Brigitte Burris-Foltz purchased this cabin in 2017
Rich and I have been looking for a getaway in the mountains. We both love the ocean but we also love the mountains. We finally zeroed in on the Appalachian Mountains after a few trips to various destinations. We kept looking for something serene and beautiful, but also to were a lots of fun things are. We don't like it high up on scary roads. Finally we took a look at Pigeon Forge and fell in love with the Smoky Mountains. Our first cabin was located at Big Bear Resort in a duplex we had it for 4 years. We brought the family up there for the first Christmas, we had so much fun and stayed here during the slow season in Winter and back to Florida for the rest of the time.
We sold it with heavy heart (so many happy guests and memories) in March 2017, to see if we could not find a larger free standing cabin to accommodate our growing family. After a long hard search we came upon this new Cabin as if by chance, a true unique and happy surprise... thus "SERENDIPITY LODGE"
Cabins had been selling like hot cakes after the fires in December. Every time one came up, it was sold before we got a chance. We had almost given up, the season was about over and we gave up looking.
When one morning I woke early and had a feeling of urgency, went straight for my laptop and what popped up? A realtor email, showing this pretty 4/3 Log Cabin at a price we could afford that just was listed. The rest is history... calling the realtor and getting an offer accepted before evening! We closed on July 31st and went right away to refurbish and make it our own for all of us to love and enjoy!!!
We are so happy to find the perfect area and place here in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where mountains meet gorgeous rivers, where we met some of the nicest people and we are looking forward to share it with you..
We fell in love with the solid log built home right away, it is freestanding hillside with lots of large trees around, it looks pretty impressive. The large covered Porch and the community it is in. We love the massive fireplace and the cabin smell (kind of foresty) when you first enter. We sleep so well, with our windows wide open, such crisp awesome air is here. Everything is just perfect for relaxation. Every time we leave, we can't wait to come back to our Serendipity Lodge.
We loved being close to everything we wished to see. Woke up on Wednesday 3/21/2018 to snow, there was a couple of inches that stayed on the ground and trees until the next day. We spent most of the snow day in Cades Cove as it was like a winter wonderland. We spent some really great nights around the dinner table playing cards with the kids. The only draw back that we had was needed a better heating system in the lower level for those cold days. I had a great inter action with the owner and will stay here again.
This cabin is so beautiful and cozy. Well appointed and full of amenities. I loved the hot tub with the various jets. So soothing after our 3 mile hike in the park . Brigitte and Rich were so sweet to have it decorated right on time for the Holidays! The media room on the ground level was perfect for the children and it gave the women time to enjoy cooking in this awesome kitchen. One of the coziest I've visited in PF. It is amazing to me that I can be in the woods and have shopping and dining 10 min. away. I will be coming back to Serendipity Lodge!
Thanks to the Foltz's for making my new vacation destination something to look forward to. I can't wait for the rod rally!!
We enjoyed our stay. Beds were all very comfortable. Cabin is very cozy. The Christmas tree was a nice surprise. Thank you for better so responsive to the couple of questions I had after arrival.
Location to town was nice. Cabin seems close to neighbors but never heard a sound. Very peaceful and relaxing. Loved our stay.
We were very pleased with our stay at Seredipity Lodge. Brigitte was extremely helpful and was always available to answer any questions. The cabin was very clean. There are four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We truly could have had another family travel with us. The beds were comfortable and the location is a hidden gem in the middle of everything. You feel like you are on your own mountain, but a mile from all of the Pigeon Forge activities. The kitchen is very well stocked. We loved our visit and will definitely return to this cabin.
We visited during the rod run car show this year and loved our stay. The cabin is very beautiful inside and out and had everything we needed. The owners are super nice and will go out of their way to help and really make you feel welcomed. We will be staying here again
