Enjoy the convenience of staying in the heart of Oakland's Dogtown arts district. We offer a private room in a shared industrial loft. The bedroom has a full sized bed and comfortably accommodates two people. The bathroom, kitchen, dining and living areas are shared. The building was formerly a lumber supply company. The space still retains its old wooden trusses and large steel framed windows.
Guests have easy access to downtown San Francisco, downtown Oakland, Berkeley and everything in between. The West Oakland Bart station is one mile away while the trans-bay bus stop is just a few blocks. Enjoy breakfast or lunch just up the street at Michelin rated restaurant "Brown Sugar Kitchen". "Kilovolt" and "Trouble" coffee houses are walk-able as well.
The bedroom is private but guests share the space with a married couple, their two children (ages 9 and 11), a small dog and a cat. We own and operate a design/ build studio and utilize the loft as a live/ work space. We have been Bay Area residents for 19 years and would love to help guide you to all the best local eateries, hikes and off-the-beaten-path activities in the area.
