Large upstairs bedroom and separate study with bay and garden views. Shared bathroom with tub and shower (and a second bathroom available too). Shared kitchen, peaceful courtyard with roses, bbq and a ping pong table.
Beautiful architectural details abound in this Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association landmark designed by John Hudson Thomas in 1924. A short 6 block walk to UC Berkeley campus, Northern gate. A short walk down the hill to the Berkeley 'gourmet ghetto'- Chez Panisse, Cheese Board collective, Cesar's, Saul's, etc., three grocery stores, two pharmacies, a farmers market, shopping, coffee and more. The renown Berkeley Rose Garden is just a few blocks away with a wonderful park, tennis courts, picnic areas, walking paths, panoramic views of the bay and of course the hundreds of lovely roses. Close to bus, BART and freeway access, walking and biking in the area is a pleasure too.
Home is normally host to 1-3 others along with the owner.
The Neighborhood is old and full of beautiful craftsman homes, very residential and quiet. Tree lined streets, hilly and well landscaped.
We have hosted many UC graduate students and travelers from all corners of the world.
