The Heritage River Farm is a working farm passed down through the generations, which we still farm our CBD hemp the old way with draft horses (for fun). We have an amazing rustic cabin on the edge of the river. You can sit at the table and watch the deer, fox, Sandhill cranes, ground hogs and super friendly farm animals; or you can lie in bed and watch the river with its abundance of ducks and geese or watch the deer crossing. If you are lucky you might even see the mink or beavers that are around! This delightful old cabin is completed with an old fashioned kitchen with an working antique wood/coal/gas cook stove, Hoosier, beautiful old ice box, milk separator, butter churn and antique baby bath sink. Beautiful bathroom with surround windows, Awesome antique tin claw-foot bathtub in which you can soak and relax. Old style galvanized stock tank shower. A living room, bedroom and loft with deck complete the cabin. We have hand-crafted the cabin including the antique lanterns and bottles made into electric lights. The decorations are family heirlooms from many decades past and give the cabin an authentic early 1900's feel! Feel free to relax on the edge of the river or in the soaking tub while enjoying your 420 or hemp products!

About Tammi Brown
Tim and I (Tammi) live down on the river bottom and farm the 'old fashioned' way for fun. We use our draft horses for working the farm, and make goat milk soap and lotions from the milk that our goats produce and the hemp that we raise. Most all the botanicals that go into the soap and lotion are grown on our farm. Tim and I love sharing our farm and showing others the country life style!
Why Tammi Brown chose Montrose
The Heritage River Farm is located in a very private setting but so close to town that you can enjoy all the city has to offer within a couple minutes drive. It is also just a short drive to the spectacular San Juan Mountains, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Grand Mesa, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Ridgeway Reservoir, and all the great outdoor activities you could desire!
What makes this Cabin unique
A river runs through it! You can sit in the cabin and watch the deer grazing or the foxes hunting. You can lie in bed and watch the ducks and geese swimming on the river. Sit on the deck and look across the hemp fields. Maybe you will see the deer, Sand Hill Cranes, Blue Herons, owls, ground hogs, mink or beaver that live here. On a rare occasion you might even see the bear or mountain lion that wonders through.

The best vacation my husband and I have ever been on! Tim was awesome showing us around the farm. We fished right off the river everyday and caught huge bass and trout. Got to ride Tim’s Belgium horse and play with all of the animals. The owners made us feel very at home. The cabin was the best part!! If I could live here I would.
My husband and I stayed for three night. And what a joy it was.
From the moment we walked into the cabin we where in awe and knew we made the perfect choice for our get away.
All I can say it was AMAZING...
We are planning our trip back and can not wait.
Thank you Tammi
Beautiful property and loved the cabin. 50 feet from the river. We saw deer out the window every day
The fishing was great, and we had it all to ourselves. Tammy and Tim are very friendly and helpful. They are wonderful hard working people.
Such a unique and inspiring place to stay
My great granddaughter and I stayed in the little cabin by the river. The cabin is well furnished and decorated with antique memorabilia. We loved the farm animals and our great hosts. Such a nice getaway!
A great rustic cabin, very friendly owners and fun place to be around all the animals.
We enjoyed the old fashioned feel of what it was like to live during the late 1800's. The cabin is like a museum with antiques galore including a metal bathtub and wood stove. We loved all the windows so we could see the river running along side the cabin and on the opposite side, the farm with the horses, goats and sheep. Deer also would run across the field usually in the morning. Can't forget the 2 dogs, Tinker and Duke. Both dogs love to play and will want you to throw their toy to retrieve it. Tammy was always available to answer any questions and showed us around the farm. All the animals are very friendly. We hated to leave and would love to come again when in the area.
Exactly what we were looking for! Rustic but well equipped. Quiet and relaxing!
This cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. My husband was able to fish off the bank, the kids were able to play in the water and absolutely loved the goats, sheep, horses and most of all Duke and Tink (Tammi and Tim’s dogs). They did an such a wonderful job with this cabin, from all the vintage appliances, to the metal tub and shower. Just what we needed to end our busy vacation. Great hosts! We highly recommend.
