Beautiful, peaceful farm located on the Uncomphagre River
The Heritage River Farm is a working farm passed down through the generations, which we still farm the old way with draft horses. We have an amazing rustic cabin on the edge of the river. You can sit at the table and watch the deer, fox, Sandhill cranes, ground hogs and numerous farm animals; or you can lie in bed and watch the river with its abundance of ducks and geese or watch the deer cross the river. If you are lucky you might even see the mink or beavers that are around! This delightful
old fashioned cabin is complete with a kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom and deck.

About Tammi Brown
Tim and I (Tammi) live down on the river bottom and farm the 'old fashioned' way for fun. We use our draft horses for working the farm and make goat milk soap and lotions from the milk that our goats produce. Most all the botanicals that go into the soap and lotion are grown on our farm, and the essential oils distilled in our own still. Tim and I love sharing our farm and showing others the country life style!
Why Tammi Brown chose Montrose
The Heritage River Farm is located in a very private setting but so close to town that you can enjoy all the city has to offer within a couple minutes drive. It is also just a short drive to the spectacular San Juan Mountains, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Grand Mesa, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Ridgeway Reservoir, and all the great outdoor activities you could desire!
What makes this Cabin unique
A river runs through it! You can sit in the cabin and watch the deer grazing or the foxes hunting. You can lie in bed and watch the ducks and geese swimming on the river. Sit on the deck and maybe you will see the sand hill cranes, blue herons, owls, ground hogs, mink or beaver that live here. On a rare occasion you might even see the bear or mountain lion that wonders through.

Enjoyed our stay!
Minutes away from Montrose but tucked away in its own little piece of countryside. Nice place!
Heavenly peaceful and beautiful
Words can't describe how wonderful a stay we had at the cabin. It looked good from the photos but that was nothing compared to the real thing! So quiet and hidden away and you can watch the river go by from your bed. It did get a little chilly at night, but our stay was in October and it did snow on the last night. Other than that everything was perfect. The fall colors on the trees, the gentle sound of the river rushing by, the fantastically decorated cabin, the fire pit just outside, the goats, horses and kitties, everything! So quiet and tucked away, but less than 10 minutes drive from Montrose. We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary here and look forward to celebrating more anniversary's here in the future!
Beautiful location and comfortable home. .
We enjoyed all the beauty of this small farm. The bunk house is quite comfortable and the view of the river a pleasure. Tammi is a gracious hostess and leaves you coffee, creamer and a few tasty treats. It is also just a mile or two from town even though it doesn’t feel like it. All in all a great place to stay
great secluded quiet hide-a-way!
We loved out time in this tiny cabin. Such a quiet place! Beautiful!
