Fantastic 3 Day Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I came up for a few days in early March. We had unbelievable weather all three days which made from some prime napping in the Sunroom and down on the dock. We walked in and were amazed at the beautiful and cozy environment that welcomed us right in as if it was ours! Each room of the house was so well decorated and each got amazing sunlight throughout the day.

We drove each night 15 minutes into town for some wonderful meals. We ate at Outback Steakhouse and Thai Spice which were both very tasty. Many other options very close too. We stopped at the Publix on the way home for some groceries for breakfast and lunch. We really enjoyed having our meals on the wonderful screened-in patio!

The lake itself is gorgeous! Down by the dock is where we spent a lot of time! Amazing sights and water!

The sky at night was incredible! So many stars! We also saw four deer running around outside which was lovely. You are in the perfect place because you are out and secluded, yet not too far from civilization to get your supplies!

We had an amazing three days, and were thrilled with the weather, especially for it being March! We will absolutely be back and for longer next time! Thank you Lori! You were an amazing host!

This house is really really cozy. We spent 10 wonderful nights in this house!!

We love the decorations!! The sunroom is a great place to relax and sip coffe in the morning...the view of the lake is wonderful! We even took bike rides because there were bikes in the garage for us to use!! No extra charge for those.

We loved the comfy beds! The 3 bedrooms had Two kings and a queen bed on the main floor. Our teen age kids slept in the twin beds in the basement after playing pool and ping pong for hours! The walk-in shower in the basement was really big!?

We had some rain two days so the 4 TVs kept everybody happy, (wifi is included so I was able to get some work done even though we were relaxing most of the time.)

After the rain stopped we swam and were able to rent (real cheep) 4 nice kayaks from the next door neighbor. One night we took our boat to Portman Marina and had dinner at the wonderful restaurant right there, there are actually 2 restaurants at the marina only 10-15 minutes by boat. (You have to go slow because you go under a "no wake " bridge to get there)

This house has 3 1/2 baths so no one had to wait to get ready...we attended a wedding in Anderson and everybody was glad it only took us 15 minutes to get to downtown Anderson where we had the rehearsal party. (We used the second refrigerator in the basement kitchenette a lot because we brought a lot of food and extra drinks.)

There are some great restaurants in Anderson too!

The house was only 10 minutes to Pubix and the movie theatre and many restaurants on Clemson blvd.

We used the grill a couple times too and our little dog loved to play in the back yard!

There is a fire pit in the back yard so we roasted marshmallow and sat around the fire pit one night telling stories and drinking wine,

The owner let us have a late check out and was really nice!

We plan to come back next year and attend a football game because Clemson is only 15 minutes from this wonderful house!

We know you will enjoy this great house!

We needed the extra refrigerator in the basement

We LOVED this trip

  • 5 of 5

This house is beautifully decorated. Lots of nice touches that make you feel like it's your own home. The screened porched off the kitchen is an added bonus!! I personally enjoyed drinking my cup of coffee out on the back sunroom in the mornings. The view of the lake is breathtaking!! I brought my laptop and wrote an entire chapter in my novel while relaxing in the sunroom. Free WiFi was an added bonus! The basement/kid zone is fantastic. We played a family ping pong tournament, the kids loved the working slot machine, and the wet bar and extra fridge down stairs were fabulous. There our three bedrooms upstairs and all three had very comfy beds. The dining room table was large enough for us to play an 8 man game of Monopoly! Swimming off the dock, playing on the giant Island...made this lakehouse home the perfect spot. Grocery stores, restaurants and shopping all within 5 to 10 minutes. All in all.....a FANTASTIC house. Lori (the owner) is wonderful!! Thank you, for a fabulous week. Casey, Jeff, Lily & Claire.

Wonderful stay for a Clemson game

  • 5 of 5

My family rented this home for 2 nights. We had 2 two-year-old boys with us and they had a blast. We enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the water, fishing off the dock for Bream and playing pool in the game room downstairs. We were amazed at all the extras the house included, such as all soap products, paper products, trash bags, fully equipped kitchen and an overabundance of soft, large towels. The beds slept comfortably too. The owner is very nice and will answer any questions you have. It was an easy 20 minute drive to the Clemson game, mainly on back roads. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

take your boat under the bridge (to the left of our dock) and have dinner at Portman Marina.

Just 10 minutes by water. Park your boat at their dock. 2 Restaurants: The Galley and Nami Restaurants both have great food.!!
