About Russell Newman
A transplant to Massachusetts, I first came to Gloucester on a father/son fishing trip with the Yankee Fleet. In 2003, I had the opportunity to move here for a job, and - initially - I came here for the fishing, mountain biking, and technology, but I stayed because I met my wife. After more than ten years here, I still think this area is one of the greatest areas in the country for outdoor activities and recreation.
Russell Newman purchased this House in 2004

My family and I had a great time at this rental. It provided all the necessary items needed for a beach vacation. Very close to beach and beautiful sunsets. We had a great time.
We picked the house for location to the beach - its so close to both beaches, an easy walk even for little kids. The bedrooms had fans which helped with the summer heat and the view from the back of the house into the valley was lovely. The owner was great, very attentive to emails and requests for info. We had a wonderful time and recommend this property whole heartedly.
Great family beach house.
Clean, bright. Friendly neighbors, Short walk to one of the best beaches in New England. Dog and kid friendly. Loved it!!
My family had a wonderful time. Fully stocked linens and kitchen. Spacious and plenty of room. Beach is a short walk down the road.
Perfect beach house
Loved being so close to the beach. Big enough for families to have their own space when needed!!!. Will be back next year!!
Amazing time in Gloucester
The house was in a great location, short walk to Good harbor, long beach and the ice cream stand all on private roads so were never worried about traffic. What a great house and great people to work with, 5 stars - can't wait to go back next year.
Aside from the usual beach activities, Gloucester (and especially the Good Harbor area) offer many opportunities for summer fun. Fishing abounds everywhere- the premiere wharf for deep-sea fishing is only a few blocks from the home, and there is also great striper fishing off of Salt Island (which can be reached from Good Harbor Beach via sandbars during low tide). If activity is your thing, there is great biking along the coastline or mountain biking on many natural trails. In addition, there are several stores that offer canoe and kayak rentals. The town of Gloucester hosts many small and unique shops, which can easily entertain even the most savvy shopper for days.
