Private, yet easily accessible from Nashville, this passive solar home built in 2015 is definitely unique. Located just minutes from the downtown Gallatin square, Starbucks, Panera, Kroger and other restaurants, you will have easy access to Vietnam Veterans Blvd, which leads you to Nashville (about 30 miles).
Three bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, 3 1/2 baths, and 16 acres of wooded land should provide you plenty of rest and relaxation. The main floor master bedroom (sleeps 2) has a queen memory foam mattress, while the upstairs has a guest room with a very soft full mattress (sleeps 2), a child's room with toddler bed (sleeps 1 tiny human), and the sleeping loft has a firm day bed (sleeps 1). The leather sofa downstairs (sleeps 1 if you need it) but our fabric sofa in the living room is a well disguised futon (sleeps 1 also). The 3 (yes 3) porches are always an option too.
Enjoy the wildlife and privacy because we do not have wi-fi or cable television. Heck, you can actually have conversations with friends and enjoy a fire. Cell service is good, a DVD player is provided and we have basic channels via antenna. On a clear day, you will literally have a view for miles as we live on the Northern Highland Rim.
In the name of health, this home is equipped with American Standard HVAC and air purifier, a reverse osmosis water filter at the sink, and non-VOC paint throughout the house. All the tile was made here in TN, the wood floors are regionally sourced pine (please tread softly), the banister is locally milled poplar, and strategically placed windows allow abundant incoming natural light. The cedar deck boards were milled right here in Gallatin and add a rustic feel. Not your typical stay but we think it will be a good one.
Non-smoking guests only and we do have two dogs who live with us. If you're allergic, we suggest skipping this one. If you don't like the possibility of interacting with wildlife/nature, we'd suggest you keep looking. Deer, turkey, raccoons, toads, and the occasional snake may show up for dinner. Yes, we live amongst the critters and coexist fairly well. Hummingbirds and woodpeckers visit on the daily if you're into that.
If you have any questions or concerns, PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE BOOKING. We will do our best to respond ASAP.
