A cute place and simplicity at its best
The view was breath taking of this area of salt pond and matunuck marina, we enjoyed
our last evening the most experiencing visiting Matunuck Oyster Bar restaurant which offers a high quality dinner experience along with great service. Kudo's to Perry and staff.
Quaint spot in a beautiful location. We had a perfect week of weather. Delightful host who owns restaurant across the street that serves the freshest shellfish ever. Will visit again soon!
The cottage could use some attention. The furniture was worn and some of it wasn’t functional at all. The futon couch was not usable. Even though we were there for 2 weeks the owner said the couch would not be fixed before we left. The view was fantastic but outside seating was lacking. Old run down seating was what was available to sit outside. Some comfort would have been appreciated.
Love staying at the little marina house.
Awesome property, close to the beach & Matunuck Oyster Bar is just next door for a special evening with friends. Enjoy the boats motoring up the canal and watching the boats come into to marina with their catch of the day. Definitely a little slice of heaven.
Great location, but lacking in many ways
The location is beautiful, but the cottage needs work. When we were there in July, after the week there, I mentioned to the owners about the furniture. The futon was in such bad shape that you could not even sit on it never mind sleep on it. They said that they would replace it. So, now I read another review of a renter from August, who stated the same condition of the futon. So, it was never replaced. When we arrived, there were a couple of other issues, but the owners did address those right away. The other furniture was literally falling apart. The cabinet in the bathroom fell apart and the legs fell off and the cocktail table in the living area was on its last legs. The curtains were hung on rods that were about to fall. The kitchen could have been better stocked with more pots and pans. Although there is a TV in the unit, there are no local stations at all. We knew that there was no cable tv, but it would have been nice to at least have a couple of local stations. The outdoor furniture was old and uncomfortable. The owner also owns the very profitable restaurant across the street. So, why not take care of this little place? The location is ideal. It could be a wonderful little place, but we will not return until some of these issues are taken care of.
Stay was great!
The parking lot can get busy at the marina in the summer but it was still very quiet. Great place that allows dogs! You can't beat the location
