Situated just East of Savannah's city center, The Metropolitan is seconds away from virtually every main attraction in the area. From the voluminous exposed ceilings to the luxurious furnishings, this five-bedroom loft has enough to persuade you to skip the sightseeing and enjoy a well-deserved afternoon at your new abode.
Park your car in the private garage and leave it there for the remainder of your stay. With Savannah favorites such as Leopold's Ice Cream, River and Bay Streets, and downtown's most popular shopping and dining options only a few minutes' walk away, The Metropolitan location cannot be beat.
Enter through the private foyer into the vast main living area. The exceptional kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances by Miele, Sub-Zero and Wolf. Sip a drink (chilled by the in-house wine fridge) and admire the custom tabby counter top before retiring to the neighboring breakfast nook that takes inspiration from sleek furnishings prevalent throughout the mid-century, all tastefully designed by Pheobe Howard.
With expansive windows on every wall, you'll enjoy lounging in the main living area as trolley and carriage tours go by. The formal dining table comfortably seats eight just off the living area. On the opposite end rests an intimate study with writing desk - perfect for the traveling business professional.
Four bedrooms with their own baths occupy the second half of the loft. Just off the kitchen sits the first guest room with a generous bath across the hall. The master bedroom, bath, and closet can be found down the hall, near the second and third guest bedrooms with two beds (King and Full) and a Jack and Jill bath. **These two beds are unable to be completely closed off from each other.
Don't forget to venture towards the back of the loft to find the game room, complete with air hockey, chess game, arcade games, and an Xbox system.
A short walk back towards the kitchen reveals the laundry room (with washer/dryer) and the third and final guest room and bath.
This home was professionally furnished and decorated for developer Ben Carter by interior designer Pheobe Howard. The home's makeover was debuted in Garden & Gun Magazine.
