This gorgeous house, is located in the Osa Peninsula, well known for its richness in marine life and nature. The house is situated in over 250 acres of secondary rainforest. Just a short walk from downtown Puerto Jimenez, the Herrera Gardens feature over 7 miles of forest trails, along with a multitude of animals and a variety of monkeys such as the spider, white-faced, and squirrel monkeys. You can see toucans and scarlet macaws flying by as you sit and enjoy the exotic jungle from the balcony.
This house boasts with all the comforts of home. Including air conditioning and WI-FI in every room, enclosed garage and a large laundry room with washer and dryer. The Kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric and microwave ovens, full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The bathrooms are comfortable and have hot water. There are 7 ceiling fans throughout the house and all the doors have screens.
Perfect setting for family vacations or for people who would like to get away from it all. Two of the bedrooms have king size beds and the third and fourth bedrooms have 3 bunk beds each that can sleep 6 people. This house can be shared by a large family or by two small families traveling together. Please note that the fourth bedroom located in the third floor has its own full bathroom but no AC only a ceiling fan.
Completely private but minutes from the super market. Enjoy the privacy of this large property as the house is tucked away inside, you will enjoy your private walking trails at the Herrera Gardens and enjoy nature from the beautiful upstairs balcony. In the late afternoon you will see and hear the parrots and Macaws flying back to their favorite sleeping tree. There is a long driveway making the house hidden from public view. Puerto Jimenez is a small town but has a nice selection of grocery stores, good restaurants and convenient internet cafes.
If you like adventure you came to the right place. There is a lot to visit and do in the Osa Peninsula. The well known Corcovado Park is about 2 hour drive away and the famous Eco lodges such as Lapa Rios and Bosque del Cabo are about a 45 min drive. If you would like to hang out at the beach and enjoy a nice meal head over to Pearl of the Osa. You can also hire the folks from Cabinas Jimenez to give you a private dolphin tour and take you over to the wildlife rescue center across the Gulf. Here you can meet at first hand the Osa's unique animals: howler monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, sloths, pajuilas, wild chickens, manigordo etc...
