Comfortable and nicely decorated

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Willow Cottage. It was very clean when we arrived and wonderfully decorated. The was plenty of room for my family of 5. Dana was responsive to any questions I had. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog Willow. We could safely leave her there while we went out and did activities. The cottage was very close to Deep Creek, GSMNP, and about a 10 minute drive to Bryson City. It was great to come back and relax after a long day of activities. The driveway is very steep, but our van could handle it. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay here again when we're back in the area!

Pleasant stay

  • 4 of 5

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The property location and condition met our expectation. As a suggestion, upkeep on the frequently used appliances (squeaky door, rusty microwave, noisy washer) could definitely help enhance the visitors' experiences.

Owner's Response: We are happy you had a pleasant stay and so glad you enjoyed the welcome basket. We assume you mean the front entry door, it was the only one we could get to make a sound but we will add some wd40 to it and that should fix that; we checked the microwave and there is one small spot that has some wear on the roof of the appliance but overall it’s in great working condition and we will replace when it’s needed; the front loader washer is in fact loud on the spin cycle because it is a smaller home so you can definitely hear it spin, closing the laundry room door seems to help with hearing it when it hits the spin cycle.

Warm and Charming

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Bryson City for 12 days after a very difficult time for our family. We needed a place to cook, wash clothes, and rest. The cottage was perfect. I was a little afraid of the hill when I drove up but it turned out to be no problem at all. After driving around to Bryson City and Sylva I found grocery stores and chain stores I was familiar with and was able to settle in for the two weeks. The cottage was clean and very comfortable for our family. We were greeted on arrival with muffins and a note. We were thankful for the treat! I especially loved the mornings because it was quiet and beautiful! The front sunroom with its small table was perfect for devotions and puzzles etc. Overall our stay helped make a difficult time much easier. The cottage had everything we needed.

Homy and inviting

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay: The cottage is very clean, homy and inviting. Dana was very helpful. The kids loved the room with the chalk-board. Also, a great house for pets, the fenced area in the backyard was ideal for our dog. Very relaxing!
