This apartment, flooded with light, is located in the heart of the old city, in an historic building of Graça, one of Lisbon's most iconic and oldest neighbourhoods.
Graça is located on the highest of the famous seven hills of Lisbon, right next to Alfama and São Jorge's castle.
The most legendary tram of Lisbon - number 28 - that goes through major city traditional neighbourhoods passes directly in front of the building. The stop is 30 seconds away.
Less than a 5 minute walk, are two of the most famous and beautiful panoramic views of Lisbon: Senhora do Monte and Miradouro da Graça breath-taking viewpoints. In a 10 minute walk you will find 'Feira da Ladra' the most typical and genuine (flea) market of the city.
Like most of the historic constructions in Lisbon, this building was projected long before elevators were invented. The apartment is located on the 4th floor of the building and has a mansard roof.
From the windows, the two small balconies and the skylight windows you can see the sky, the rooftops and the lively and wonderful neighbourhood, full of small hidden backyards and gardens.
The apartment – with free WIFI internet - has a comfortable and relaxing leaving room and an even more peaceful bedroom with a double bed. It is perfect for two or three people.
The kitchen is fully equipped: with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, washing machine, coffee maker, electric water boiler, toaster and all the necessary cooking utensils. There is also a hair drier and an ironing table.
It is ideally situated Graça’s main street, within a 10 minute walking distance from the metro station of Anjos, a 20 minute walk from the main International railway station Santa Apolónia and a 15 min drive from the airport. If you have never been to Lisbon, you must bear in mind that this city is full of charming but nonetheless challenging hills.
The street and the neighbourhood are full of small traditional shops, bakeries, supermarkets, pharmacies, ATMs, all sorts of restaurants and outdoor cafes, and services you may need for an unforgettable stay in one of the most beautiful and charismatic cities you will ever see.
In case you are travelling by car or if you are planning to rent one:
As almost anywhere else in central Lisbon during the day parking is subjected to payment (between 9 am and 7 pm). During the night it's free.
In general, parking is not very easy in Graça, but fortunately for me who lived in this apartment for almost 10 years in that area of the neighborhood it is possible to park without difficulty, even right in front of the building.
From the apartment you can walk almost anywhere - up and down the hills - or get the 28 tram or the metro to other parts of the city.
