Waterfront Cabin On The Henry's Fork River
About Laurie Deaton
Laurie has been coming to Island Park her entire life....her grandparents owned a cabin up the river and she has spent every summer of her life enjoying that cabin with friends and family.
Why Laurie Deaton chose Island Park
Waterfront, close to the park, beautiful views, moose and other wildlife right out the window on a daily basis. This place is a true gem for those who really want to kick back.
What makes this Cabin unique
This cabin is a fun way to really get into the spirit of the Old West and the Yellowstone area. It is hand made from lodge pole pine and is similar to many of the old structures that have been torn down in the area. It is also similar to old ranger buildings and structures in Yellowstone National Park. This cabin provides a more authentic experience than a new cabin/house or a hotel room.

Peaceful setting in authentic cabin
The owner has done a wonderful making this cabin feel like you’ve stepped into the past without sacrificing modern day amenities. It is tastefully decorated and comfortably slept our family of four. My son loved the sleeping porch! It was nice to be able to escape the crowds of Yellowstone after a couple days in the park and enjoy the serenity of the river.
Great place for a get away!
My kids and I loved every moment. Thank you!
Peaceful & Family Time
It was a great place to stay. Very cozy, nice & quiet. Enjoyed seeing all the pelicans out the kitchen window when I was having my coffee. Loved watching my kids entertain them selves and be super silly without WiFi. Close to Yellowstone. The owner was very nice!
Just As Described
We thoroughly loved this cabin and the area is gorgeous. Caught many fish in the river just out the back door of the cabin. The cabin is stocked with exactly what is needed to have a very relaxing getaway. It took us only 20 minutes to get to Yellowstone, although we didn’t need to go there to see wildlife, that too is right out the back door of the cabin. Thank you Laurie.
Quaint little cabin in an awesome setting.
Our family had a great time at the cabin. Our boys enjoyed the river and dock. The kayak and canoe were fun. I particularly enjoyed not having wifi, my teenagers needed the brake. :-) I'm sure they wouldn't agree however.
I also liked being a little bit removed from the touristy West Yellowstone. The peacefulness of the cabin was great.
Thank you Laurie for opening your cabin up to us.
Charming, well maintained cabin in an idyllic location!
The cabin is very well maintained and well stocked. I was amazed at the variety of pans, utensils, etc. in the kitchen. The cabin was very clean and is decorated just like a log cabin should be!
The location is perfect! Being so close to the river made it easy to go out in the kayak several times a day. Sitting on the back porch and watching the river was so relaxing. I guarantee we will stay here again in the future.
The owner was incredibly helpful and easy to work with.
Island Park is about 20 miles from West Yellowstone and the entrance to Yellowstone National Park
